It's a pretty amazing site seeing the dam. Driving over it is fun. The museum was pretty interesting. Knowing that Lake City has few to none attractions, this was a fun thing to experience.

Neat view, helpful gentleman and good info at the visitor's center. Driving over the dam is neat after watching the vehicle cross it. Glad we went!

Great campground and a lot of things to do. Right between the park at Norris Dam Marina is Norris Paddling Adventures where you can rent kayaks; single, fishing and two person. Canoe, stand-up paddleboards and Hydro-Bikes(water-bikes). The Marina offers power boats and a restaurant. Knoxville is only 30 mins away.

This was the 2nd time we have camped at Norris. We prefer the west campground when camping with our friends. The way the loop & sites are laid out, it's so easy to be social with a group, but still have your own space if you need or want it. We have a 26' travel trailer, so getting there wasn't... More

This is a nice state park that is popular with East Tennesseans. I hadn't been since I was a kid, so I decided to take my three boys and explore it for an afternoon. The dam is the main attraction. To orient ourselves, we stopped at the scenic overlook, and it was a nice, relaxing site. The railing didn't have... More

Don't swim in front of the houses. We stayed at a floating house in Flat Hollow Marina and swam in front of the house. The water appeared to be clean. It looked clean and we could see up to 12 feet below us. Three days after returning both my wife and I were sick at our stomachs and continued to... More

The dam and town of Norris are historic in Tennessee Valley Authority's plan to tame the rivers in the area. I live here, so am biased. If you are looking for excitement, this isn't the place for you. But, if you enjoy nature, trout fishing (some of the best I understand), walking/hiking/horseback riding trails, and history, then you would enjoy... More

This was a nice stop even if road construction in the area makes it a little tougher to make it into in the morning and there are geocaches to add to the adventure.
