It is very rare I find a place where the Hiking and Camping is on par with The Smokie Mountains National Park. Norris Dam State park is! NDSP has a lot to offer. You have a wide variety for the land lover: trails, recreational fields, camp and RV sites, cabins, swimming pool, picnic facilities, etc. If you enjoy the water, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to fish, swim, and take the boat out on Norris Lake. Stayed here 08/07/04. Nice campground. There are 2 areas, east and west. We stayed in the west campground. It has a nice playground in the center. The restroom/bath house was clean. There was a sign up that they are renovating it in the spring of 2005. We pitched a tent. There weren't a lot of sites with totally flat place... more
