When my daughter was tiny we had monthly Father and Daughter days at the Knoxville Zoo...we grew up there together..she learned to read there. We went on hot days, cold days..rainy days...just whenever. But now...it is kind of like going to Dollywood. There is always 3 million people there (I exaggerate) and the emphasis seems to be on the "human... More

Enjoyed the environment of this zoo. Clean, informative, even interactive. The reptile house has lots of slitheries, fantastic elephants and rhinos, wonderful petting zoo and even scratched the head of a giant tortoise. Fun for all ....big and little people alike.

good place to take the family. they have a good amount of animals with a splash pad for the hot summer days and great outdoor play areas. they also have a newer place to be able to play inside and stay dry when it rains and warm when it is cold.

I have a pass coz I have to keep checking on those adorable baby gorillas. It makes me all happy to see how the moms interact with their babies. Wow. I could watch for hours. Knoxville tries really hard to keep the zoo going. A lot depends on donations. Everybody is so helpful and to know, these people are here... More

Eat before you go, food was over priced but good. If you have little ones bring the stroller, way to much walking to be trying to carry toddlers around. In the summer they have a small water park for the kids to play in which is a PLUS. Great way to spend the day. The animals seem to be more... More

I buy my son's family a zoo membership each year and the kids absolutely love going. The park is always well maintained and you can see the animals are well cared for.

It's a great zoo for the size of Knoxville. There is a great variety of animals, a fun petting zoo and lots of space to walk and enjoy. Great gorilla exhibit. And lots of areas that are fun for children
