Really nice zoo....

I've been here several times, as a child and as an adult. My last trip was for my daughter's 2nd birthday. She loved the splash pad and she feed a giraffe!

This park is convenient to all downtown attractions. Concerts and special events are held here during the year and it's a great family place with something for all ages.

Staying in Gatlinburg we decided to go to knoxville one day. Zoo was highlight of our day. Small but very nice! You can ride a camel. Feed a giraffe. Listen to crazy howler monkey. Go. Go. Go.

The zoo has a wide variety of animals sure to please children and adults alike. Walking around the zoo takes about 2-3 hours so make sure to stay hydrated. A personal family favorite is the penguin exhibit. Many kid-friendly activities are available: a petting zoo, a bird show, a play center, etc. However, prices are a bit expensive, so be... More

We have gone here several times in the past with our 3 sons. This is a very nice zoo for a city of this size. The only negative to me is the location along the interstate of many of the larger animals. I am used to the animals being located in a more serene area. Also, beware of certain monkeys... More

I wish there was a button in between average and good. This is like 3.5 Stars. Some of the animals at this exhibit are great. The bear habitat is wonderful as well as the Red Panda exhibit. However, there are some areas that could definitely use improvement. For example: It's almost impossible to see the penguins in their habitat on... More

I'm surprised at all of the small zoo comments. I feel like 2-3 hours is definitely a sufficient amount of time at a zoo, but maybe I have never been to a large zoo. I have been coming here since I was a child, and now I am bringing my child. They have continually updated and improved the zoo. They... More

Ok - the zoo is small. But it is good for a small/medium town. It's clean and takes about 2.5 hours to wander through. You can tell that it is strapped for funding because every bench or small attraction is dedicated in someone's memory/name. There's the entrance fee and $5 for parking. PARENTS - Have the talk with your kids... More

It is a very fun experience for people of all ages. If you're in Knoxville, this is a must! I am 15 years old and still ask my mom to "take me to the zoo".

The knoxville zoo is a jewel. Lots of great wide walking paths. The gorillas and the new lion enclosures are worth the walk. The red pandas, rhinos and reptile house/River otters are a lovely walk in the other direction. If it is raining or warm/cold, Wee play zoo is an indoor Exploratorium with hands on activities for little ones, including... More
