We always have great time at the Boo Fest the zoo has each Halloween. We are looking forward to another walk among the characters. One year we saw all of the wizard of oz characters and my little Dorothy was thrilled!

Fun place...went right when they opened...so the morning was cooler....lots of walking...but oh so pretty....seeing the giraffe get to be hand fed some spinach was fun! Got lots of great pics. Volunteers share knowledge about the animals with you!

There were a wide variety of animals. The admission price was very reasonable. The grounds were well maintained.

We love the Knoxville zoo we take our children yearly. It's amazing and the staff is friendly. Don't forget to bring $1 bills for the wax machines located all over the zoo. They each make a wax mold of a different zoo animal. We plan to visit again next year. We have attended Boo at the zoo and didn't care... More

We have season passes here so I think we can tell if it is worth it or not. Personally, I prefer the Chattanooga Zoo to this one; but it is still a very nice zoo. More animals than the Chattanooga one, but less personable. The parking is horrible to even get to the gate, and they have a so called... More

Knoxville Zoo Fun times!!!!!! The zoo was very fun. This zoo has a lot of exhibits and my boyfriends and we really enjoyed ourselves. The zoo was the perfect way to end our vacation. The zoo is big but not too big.

Nice zoo for a city this size and ability to entertain kids and adults. Get there "early" - it only opens at 10 AM.

It is a boring zoo and for the price you definitely expect a whole lot more. Of course once you go in then all the up charging starts. I know everyone is trying to earn a dollar however the $30 each admission charge I feel like I overpaid and was under entertained. My three year old was bored and of... More

We're disappointed you were disappointed on your visit last year! However, I'm happy to tell you that in 2015, we've added a whole plethora of animal experiences throughout the zoo that gives you the chance to meet and often get hands-on with some of our amazing animal ambassadors, as well as our Williams Family Giraffe experience that gets you eye-to-eye... I've been to many zoos and for the money, and the size of town Knoxville is, it's not bad, the staff seem to be on top of things, and the animals happy. The grounds were clean and most exhibits open, I'd take my kids to this zoo...
