This was our second visit to the Knoxville Zoo. It was not as good as the first time, though. We are reciprocal members at the Columbus Zoo (one of the top-rated zoo's in the country) and we find this zoo to be wonderful, though much smaller. We're always baffled at how few people are at the zoo, though. The Columbus... More

Sweet zoo with shaded lanes. Plenty of souvenir and snack opportunites. Playground with a small stream for the kids to play in and a well stocked indoor play area. Picnic tables and plenty of choices for a meal.

Knoxville zoo was the poorest zoo my husband had visited...especially for adults. There are few animals and they are mostly in cages or behind bars. And many were by themselves. No good photo oportunities .We are reciprocal members of the Atlanta Zoo and usually get in free to most zoos. But we had to pay 50% and $17 for both... More

Beautiful Zoo, many animals to see up close and new babies-sooo cute! althought walking up the hills (which are usually found in all zoos can be tiring especially in the summer

Go for the reciprocal membership that works across the country, apply your ticket costs toward it if you want to check out the museum first. Loved the shade throughout, frequent benches, slushies and dippin dots around the zoo too. The camel rides and giraffe feeding were awesome and unique! Carry cash for the giraffe feeding! Very nice zoo, we'll do... More

I am a zoo lover and I really enjoyed visiting this zoo. This is a smaller size than other zoos that I've visited but it was very pleasant. My family's favorite exhibits were the red panda, the giraffes, and the elephants. We even got to see the zoo's newest addition, a baby gorilla. That was precious!

Our family has visited this zoo numerous times and have always had a great time..... kids really love seeing all the animals and never get tired of visiting this zoo... it is not the biggest zoo that we've ever visited but it's definitely worth visiting.

Ok this isn't the biggest zoo I have been to but still very nice. The baby gorillas are the main attraction. I don't go to the zoo the eat the overpriced food especially with grand kids so I don't understand the negative reviews about the food. It is to be expected at any zoo. The staff at this zoo went... We visited the zoo in July 2015. We were able to enjoy the new baby gorillas! So many improvements have been made, it was such a wonderful experience.
