I have had season tickets for the last three years and I have not been disappointed once. The plays are wonderful Pick the opening night package. There are snacks and drinks after the plays as you meet and greet the actors and directors. Loads of fun...

The plays here are very affordable and I've always been really impressed with the quality of the productions. The venue is fairly small (seats about 550). But that means you can get a good view of the stage from pretty much anywhere!

I had not been to Clarence Brown to see a show since my college days. I was blown away by the quality of two show I saw this season. Sweeney Todd and Spamalot were well worth the trip and cost of admission. I will be back next season.

The CBT is a gem for the Knoxville area. As a LORT theatre, it maintains extraordinarily high production values. Set design is always a thing of beauty--I have probably seen close to 100 shows and am continually amazed at the creativity in making the set fit the show (notables: Amadeus, Streetcar Named Desire, Tommy, Man of La Mancha, and the... Saw Spamalot this week, and loved it! Every element was spot on, from the music and signing, dancing, the set, costumes, you name it. I've been wanting to see this for years now, and always miss the chance - so glad we finally did! Congratulations to everyone involved in this product, you all did a fantastic job, we appreciate your... More

As someone who travels to NYC often to catch world-class theater, my tastes can be quite selective and appreciative of quality theater. Catching the recent version of CBT's Spamalot made me grateful that I live in a university city with these sorts of advantages. We are season ticket holders and continue to be impressed with each production. We particularly appreciate... More

This was my first experience at Clarence Brown Theatre and I was very impressed. The production value was excellent and the cast was incredible. The show itself was one of the best I've seen. Excellent job all around.

An amazing story of war from an angle most of us had no idea existed! I can't think of anything they crew didn't do that wasn't amazing. The actors were top-notch and did a wonderful job with the accents. The set design was above average as was the direction. I'm new to TN and this was the first play I'd... More

The lab theater is small and cozy. It is really a nice venue for a theater buff to see a play and Wrens was a great experience. The actors did a great job (although some struggled with the accents and some of the pauses we a little pregnant). My biggest complaint was the temperature....the theater was very warm - probably... I saw A Trip to Bountiful on Broadway in New York. When I heard Carol Mayo Jenkins was starring in the play at the Clarence Brown Theatre, I knew I had to venture to Knoxville, TN (from NY). As a fan of both the play and Carol, I was curious to see how the production would be interpreted. WOW! Between... More
