One of the best shows that we have seen. So much talent was on stage at once it was like being on broadway.

I went to a the production last evening and I must say Clarence Brown theatre did it again. The cast was very talented and kept the entire audience mesmerized. I have had season tickets for years and I look forward to every performance. Last night I was in the Carousal Theatre for the Hank Williams production. The acoustics were perfect,... More

Thoroughly enjoyed this first play of the new season at CBT. The Carousel Theater is perfect for this kind of performance; intimate, up-close, for a couple of hours you just feel like you are right there with Hank Williams himself.

Decided to check out the "Hank Williams Lost Highway" production which kicked off the 40th anniversary of the Clarence Brown Theater on the University of Tennessee campus. Was surprised to see that it was being staged in the adjacent Caurosel Theater which proved to me much more fun since it is smaller and less formal. The show was outstanding. Great... More

This was the best play I have seen since I moved here from Boston. Witty, wonderfully written, musically delightful, and also touching. I felt like it really was Hank up there singing his heart out. His wife did a superb acting job, as did his mother, and also Horace Smith gave an outstanding performance. I'm going back! I could see... More

This is an excellent play. It had the audience tapping their feet. Great fun! This is the opener for the 40th season of the Clarence Brown Theater and they have once again chosen a great play for this occasion.

... and it was fantastic! The seats are comfortable and provide great lines of sight to the stage. Parking is a bit of a walk from the theater, but that's to be expected given its location. All in all, a wonderful experience.

I have had season tickets for the last three years and I have not been disappointed once. The plays are wonderful Pick the opening night package. There are snacks and drinks after the plays as you meet and greet the actors and directors. Loads of fun...

The plays here are very affordable and I've always been really impressed with the quality of the productions. The venue is fairly small (seats about 550). But that means you can get a good view of the stage from pretty much anywhere!

I had not been to Clarence Brown to see a show since my college days. I was blown away by the quality of two show I saw this season. Sweeney Todd and Spamalot were well worth the trip and cost of admission. I will be back next season.
