Knoxville is doing an excellent job of ramping up their downtown and the World's Fair Park is an excellent centerpiece for this renewal. It has a large, open amphitheater, lots of water and fountains, clear walkways with lots of fragrant, colorful plantings. Really beautiful!

Great area to walk around and close to both University and the Art Museum. Kids enjoyed walking around and although the water was cleared from the fountains/pond, guessing it is very popular in the summer. Families with small children should park in the lot near the Art Museum and check out Kids Fort Playground across the street from the Art... More

You can take an elevator, for free, to the top of the sunsphere. Lots of nice scenery for walking around and the war memorial is beautiful.

The Sun Sphere is also in the park. The park is clean and has a large open area that can used for kite... More

The fountain is fun in warm weather. The sun sphere is a must. It is free and awesome! Worlds Fair Park is a place to play frisbee on the lawn. Playground gets a lot of people during good weather though.

When staying across the street at the Cumberland house this park turned out to be a great spot for a morning run.
