Great place for a stroll. Very close to the river walk and UT. From the hotel to the river and back up through the park is about a 2 mile walk.

The World's Fair Park is a lovely place to spend some time. The view from the Sphere is beautiful and the water features in the park are very serene. It's a great place to spend an hour or two walking around and taking in the views.

Our first time ever to Knoxville, we made this our first stop. Once we figured out where and how to park (just follow the signs) we got out and had a nice walk. The highlight was the Sunsphere. Worth the visit to the top and read the placards about the Worlds Fair and other Knoxville and area highlights. At free,... More

Things that may be helpful: 1) There is no parking in or around the park but there is free parking less than a 10 minute walk away; 2) The Knoxville Art Museum is on adjoining property slightly up the hill; 3) There is a very nice, tasteful, veteran's memorial on the site. This area has been preserved from the 1982... More

It has a great fountain/splash pad for kids to play in. While they splashed, I wandered the park specifically so I could find...the ONLY statue of Rachmaninoff anywhere in the world. Why does Knoxville have a statue in honor of Rachmaninoff? He performed his final piano recital here in Knoxville! I took many pictures.

Nice city park to walk in the morning. Has water features and a nice clean path. I also think that they must do shows here because there is a small theater.

This was our first visit to the park. There were a lot of visitors there. It's very clean. The visitors seemed respectful of the park's cleanliness too! Even the restrooms were clean. There's a playground for the kids and a water-play area too. Geysers? Fountains? Idk what to call them. I do know that the kids/families there were having what... More

The World's Fair park seems to have diminished over the years. Now it is hemmed in by the University, Art Museum and Convention center. There are a couple of fair grounds and the amphitheater, but that's about it.

Kids had a great time playing in the geysers. Bring your swimsuit and a change of clothes. Well worth it. Also when up the Sunsphere which is worth the 15 minutes. Limited parking.

Great place to park and stroll through. Don't miss the Sunsphere. It is free and has a 360 degree view of the city. There is also a very nice East Tennessee Veterans Memorial honoring Medal of Honor Recipients with historical quotes, water geysers to play in, and cascading waterfalls. Lovely place to visit.
