Great way to see the city

We learned about this golden globe from a visitor center. It's free to go up to the 4th level, and you get a beautiful view of the city. Definitely worth doing.

I love this place! I remember going to the 1982 World's Fair here as a kid, and it has remained one of my favorite places to just go and "hang out"! My wife and I were engaged in the Sunsphere at the Ikon Ultra Lounge, and we've been there on several occasions for holiday celebrations. We even had our Engagement... More

The World's Fair Park has the two remaining structures from the 1982's World's Fair...the Sunspere and the Amphitheater . The observation deck of the Sunspere is open to the public and gives a good view of downtown Knoxville. The area that once was the court of flags now has splash fountains. The Holiday Inn adjoins the site on one side... More

Great memories of visiting the 1982 World's Fair at this location. So glad they have preserved the Sunsphere and made the grounds attractive and usable for outdoor enjoyment. It is clean and neat. Wear your walking shoes as there is not abundant parking close by. Good restaurants and some shopping are in the area. The Chocolate Factory and Knoxville Museum... More

It was great to go up in the sun sphere and see the information from the 1982 Worlds Fair. Recommended for anyone in the downtown Knoxville area.

Not anything worth seeing. I guess you could walk down to the old Worlds Fair Parking area and watch the Homeless People Drink and have sex. I guess the fountain area is pretty but there is really nothing there. Much better things to do with your time in and around Knoxville.

We visited for the weekend and thought that this would be something to do. It turned out to be not as much as we hoped. We did walk about and went into the Sun sphere. Did not seem to be much else...

A nice area to walk around in. Take a book and sit by the water and enjoy your day. You may be luccy enough to see the ducks

Worlds Fair Park, not much to say about it, not alot going on. Park is in decent shape, nothing was going on at the ampitheater which from reviews their never is. The world fair sphere/globe was nice. Went up to the viewing deck, some good views of downtown Knoxville and some mountains but nothing special.
