We went for the day to Knoxville from Gatlinburg, but you can't park anywhere. I went in a mile long circle around the park, and everything is permit parking. The tow truck company had someone sitting there waiting for me to get out of the car to make $200+. The other enormous mistake I made is going on a Saturday... More

We have a few favorite stops when we visit downtown. We love to take our boys (ages 2 & 12) to Fort Kid play ground, it is the coolest play ground around, and unlike any others! We love to have a picnic at the fountains while the kids play in the water, and always love going to observation deck inside... More

Going to the park and the fair sphere is a great thing to do. The park has many young college kids if you like to people watch and they have a water fountain for children to play in the summer. Its all free!

Have been to World's Fair Park for several events. Large open area with water shoots that kids love! Only down side is that it gets very muddy after the rain.

Nice place to walk around. Not a lot going on while I was there, but really enjoyed the walk and the fountains.

Great place for a stroll. Very close to the river walk and UT. From the hotel to the river and back up through the park is about a 2 mile walk.

The World's Fair Park is a lovely place to spend some time. The view from the Sphere is beautiful and the water features in the park are very serene. It's a great place to spend an hour or two walking around and taking in the views.

Our first time ever to Knoxville, we made this our first stop. Once we figured out where and how to park (just follow the signs) we got out and had a nice walk. The highlight was the Sunsphere. Worth the visit to the top and read the placards about the Worlds Fair and other Knoxville and area highlights. At free,... More

Things that may be helpful: 1) There is no parking in or around the park but there is free parking less than a 10 minute walk away; 2) The Knoxville Art Museum is on adjoining property slightly up the hill; 3) There is a very nice, tasteful, veteran's memorial on the site. This area has been preserved from the 1982... More
