We wanted to check out theTown on our way home to MD. We went up the Sphere & had some great views of the city. It is also close to the Free Museum of Art (Very Cool Also). This is worth a stop. We parked at the Museum & walked to this & the park than we went in the... More

The sunsphere kind of has the Eiffel Tower problem - it looks beautiful from the outside, but when you go up and look at the view from inside, the best thing in the skyline is missing (because you're standing in it!) On the other hand, it's free, and it's a cool experience, and it does have a nice 360-degree view.... More

Neat place to visit. Was a little confusing finding a good place to park and for a reasonable price. Very clean and awesome view.

While it is not the tallest place in the world, it is historic and a must do for both natives and visitors at least once in their lives! The view is great and it is a neat feeling to be in the sphere!

Great view of downtown but relatively boring. Fun to pick out the sights. Only worth about 10-20 minutes.

A golden relic from a lost era of worlds fair. Effortless to find and, amazingly, it's open free of charge with no staff in attendance. Structure is clean and in proper working order. 360 view from observation deck is splendid. Park around tower is absolutely clean and well maintained. Area felt absolutely safe. Many reviewers complain about lack of parking.... More

We went on a Sunday morning, the water fountains were not operating but we still enjoyed looking around outside. The view up inside was very nice. The height of the sphere is just under 300 feet. Inside there was a lot of screens throughout with information about the area & also information on the walls about the 1982 Worlds Fair... More

I was surprised to go to Sunsphere and not find a ticket taker. It is a free attraction. Parking is close and the view from the tower is amazing. I also enjoyed all the information provided on the walk around the tower

The view was nice but we really enjoyed reading more on the displays about the history of the World Fair in Knoxville.
