This sphere gives you great views of the city of Knoxville. There are informational plaques so that you are aware of what you are seeing. This sphere gives you are beautiful view of the parks below, and the area is clean and best of all...free ! Take a few minutes to utilize this great addition to Knoxville. The militiary monument... Kids of all ages love going up in the sphere. I'm a little afraid of heights so I stood closer to the center.

You have a commanding view of the entire Knoxville area. It's a short walk from market square. It's free! So why not visit this landmark? The view is stupendous. Did I mention that it's free?

The view was great and it was free. There were a couple of displays but overall I think we spent no more than 30 minutes up at the top. If you are near there then don't miss it. I would not recommend making a special trip downtown just for it though.

This was a must see for anyone visiting Knoxville. There was no cost to go into the sphere and we were the only ones there during the mid-week visit. You can see the whole city from its 26 story viewing area. What a great view it was! The sphere was built for the 1982 World's Fair. Very clean and easy... More

Even though there is not really a lot to do around the sun sphere tower we decided to go up to the observation deck. It was a very nice view and it was FREE! Slow elevators but it was free.....can't beat that. It was nice to see it!

We wanted to check out theTown on our way home to MD. We went up the Sphere & had some great views of the city. It is also close to the Free Museum of Art (Very Cool Also). This is worth a stop. We parked at the Museum & walked to this & the park than we went in the... More

The sunsphere kind of has the Eiffel Tower problem - it looks beautiful from the outside, but when you go up and look at the view from inside, the best thing in the skyline is missing (because you're standing in it!) On the other hand, it's free, and it's a cool experience, and it does have a nice 360-degree view.... More

Neat place to visit. Was a little confusing finding a good place to park and for a reasonable price. Very clean and awesome view.
