We saw the signs for the park and had no idea what to expect, but what we found was a giant natural resource being fully utilized. There were several soccer fields in one area, fishermen on the pier and out on boats. Lots of bikers and more walkers than I've seen in one place outside an organized event. People of... More

I love the scenic views, disc golf, paddle boats, and the Narnia walk!!! Absolutley gorgeous view! The campground seems a little far away but other than that very fun.

Walk the path around the lake or bike the paths. Always people there enjoying themselves. Kayak or fish. Excellent playground for the kids. Picnic areas and benches overlooking the lake are great. Campground to make your stay longer. Golf course for duffers or pros. What's not to like!

I live only 1/4 mile from this park, and still believe it is the best natural park I've ever visited, even though the state does a LOUSY job of maintaining it!! The island portion has picnic shelters, walking and biking trails, and tennis courts surrounded by a beautiful lake. The marina has a grill, and they rent out paddle boats... More

Although it is not what I consider clean and neat, it is a place you can go for a nice walk and not feel rushed.

Very nice facilities on Duck Island for a large group. Plenty of parking was an added plus. Appears to be a very clean and well maintained state park.

We had not camped at this state park in many years but it is beautiful and pleasant in the fall of the year. We were at site 25 which was fairly easy to park in and nice and long to park your vehicle. Many of the sites are very small since the park is hilly and several are situated on... More
