We went on a Monday later in the afternoon when many areas were closed, but still had a wonderful visit. The park was open and the many animal exhibits were nice to walk through. Would recommend for a visit with kids of any age. My 14 month old nephew loved seeing some new animals up close.

I go to Bays Mountain every year. Hiking around the lake, communing with nature, and visiting the exhibits (planetarium, zoo, museum, boat ride, etc), makes for a wonderful afternoon!

I am lucky enough to live about 5 minutes from Bays Mountain, and I still wish I could find time to go there more! It is one of my favorite places in nature around here, and is perfect for a day when there in nice weather. Even if it is a rainy day, they have plenty of indoor activities as... More

There is so many options here, so many things to experience. The animal section is so fantastic. The river otters are super cute and the wolves howling was so beautiful to hear. Many species of birds, as well as deer and much more. The reptiles display made me more aware of snakes in our local area. This park also offers... More

I bought a membership to Bays Mountain Park this year. There are places to picnic, a wonderful planetarium and observatory, a huge lake and a nice waterfall. There's also a snake exhibit and a small zoo with local wildlife. There are wolves, bob cats, a raccoon, colorful turtles and much more. The staff are very helpful and are great at... More

Bays Mountain Park, a city-owned park, is an outstanding public park. Located on top of Bays Mountain, it includes hiking trails, animal habitats (including otters and wolves and bobcats, along with deer and reptiles and raptors). The Nature Center has aquatic exhibits and an excellent planetarium. The lake has barge rides. The Homestead Museum shows the life of people who... More

WOW. we came here for the first time and were so pleased with our adventure that we bought an annual pass. Plenty of well maintained trails for hiking and biking. Many programs offered throughout the year as well. We arrived as the gates opened and were glad we did because after a few hours the parking lot was nearly full.

This park has hiking trails, wildlife galore, and beautiful scenery. There are otters, turtles, deer, birds, wolves, etc. They also have programs you can attend and a planetarium. They also have an adventure rope course I haven't tried but looks awesome! Highly recommend!

I love love love watching the wolves. The total best is the wolf shows, produces a few times a week. There are tons of beautiful walking trails that I enjoy, and bring my dog to walk often. The planetarium is great also.
