Not as entertaining as it looks and not as big as it looks. The kids enjoyed it for about 2 hours then became bored. My first time here and I was disappointed from the lack of it being called a hands on museum. All I got out of it was it's a big inside playground with toys.

This is always been such a fun place to take my kids when they were younger and then to take my nieces and nephews when they came along. My mom bought the grandparents pass which works well for her when she has the grandchildren. They do have an exhibit that rotates out but my kids always enjoyed the good old... More

Hands on Museum is without a doubt the best option for you to take your family to in Johnson City. They are always changing so you can return.

Such a fun and cute little hands on museum located right downtown. My two-year-old and I had a wonderful time, we played for a couple of hours. Lots of different activities on two floors. Definitely recommend this place. We drove from Asheville. Five stars!

This is a great little museum to take younger kids to and is very reasonably priced. Teenage children would probably be bored after a little bit, but our three, five, and seven year old children loved it.

I use to work here and truly love this museum. However, it seems to be lagging behind other children's museums by far. I took my toddler to visit and was actually disappointed that I spent money on tickets. There aren't any new attractions and the classics that were so loved are gone. The crawl under fish tank for example is... More

Took my daughter along with two of her friends and my 1 year old. Cost to enter the "non-profit" museum was over $32. This is the same museum I went to when I was a kid and it has gone way downhill. Several of the "exhibits" were closed (the others had not changed or been updated since i was a... More

Little ones love this place, but my teenage kids have a blast here too! They can be silly and relive being a carefree kid again. There is so much to do and learn! I am very impressed with all the fun hands on learning opportunities here! Great place for play dates, field trips, family outings, etc. Even adults can have... More

Was here with my 4 year old niece for her birthday party and a bunch of her day care friends. My wife and daughter also came. They did an excellent hosting this birthday party. Out in the Museum all the experimental things that are "hands on" are great for the kids and adults. I believe the parents along with the... More

My parents and I took my 5 year old grandson and my 2 year old granddaughter here today. We paid $29 for 3 adults to walk through what we thought was more of a museum but instead was more of an out of date, run down, un-clean indoor play park. Many of the "exhibits" did not work which caused the... More
