My parents and I took my 5 year old grandson and my 2 year old granddaughter here today. We paid $29 for 3 adults to walk through what we thought was more of a museum but instead was more of an out of date, run down, un-clean indoor play park. Many of the "exhibits" did not work which caused the... More

We visited the Hands-On Museum three years ago and were pleased with the cleanliness and value at that time. However, we visited again this July and were disappointed at the tired look of the exhibits, how so many were out of order or not functioning properly, and at the general lack of interested exhibits. My children are 5 and 3,... More

As a family we have visited this museum several times. Unfortunately the entrance fee far exceeds the reality of what the museum has to offer. They try hard to bring interesting exhibits, but seem not to care about the overall upkeep of the permanent installments. They certainly charge enough money to visit which could help to fix up the exhibits... More

We are sorry that you did not enjoy your recent visit and we are in the midst of changing several exhibits. I'm sure you noticed the new Physics Lab and WKID-TV studio, as well as changes to the Art Studio and we have other new exhibits in the works. Please let us know if there were any specific exhibits that... More

This is a very unique location and is nice for Johnson City. It has a lot of stuff for kids but absolutely nothing for older or college aged students. I wish that they would say so when purchasing tickets. Great place for kids tho.

This is great for keeping kids or multiple ages entertained. We visited with kids that ranged from 5 to 9 years old and they all had fun. Some of the exhibits are a little tired and the lower level is pretty dark, but overall, I think it's a good place for kids to play and explore for a couple hours.... More

Although there were some un-needed changes to "Hands On!" it is still a great place for young children to learn and have fun as well as for the adults to enjoy and learn! There are many exhibits and many learning stations. We loved the art room as well as the grocery area. "Hands On!" offers a great experience for children... More

We visited Hands-on Museum with our two year old and he had a blast! I used to go as a child and was excited to take my son here. Perfect for younger children which is great because sometimes it's hard finding stuff to do with pre-school aged kids. We will definitely be back, on fact we bought a membership on... More
