We have attended The Hands On Museum 3 times, and the most recent visit was the worst. The price of admission is $8 for age 3, and up, so our family of 5 cost almost $40 dollars, and by the time you pay that, everything in the exhibits should work properly, and be up to date. The featured attraction, SPIN... More

We are very sorry you did not enjoy your most recent visit but welcome your feedback. Currently, the newsroom exhibit has completed it's renovations and is the new Physics Lab. This exhibit features several interactive areas that allow visitors to experiment with air pressure, motion, and force. If you noticed anything specific that you would share with us that was... More

This is a great place to go especially if you have younger ones. We have been here many times and the kids always enjoy it. After about the age of 10 to 12, mine started getting a little tired of going. The down stairs area is the best with a slide that even adults can love that goes from top... More

The Hands on Regional Museum is located in a small, downtown building. There are 2 floors of exhibits. The only parking is on the side streets although there is a lot nearby. Short science programs are offered in the lab room. The girls who worked there were very pleasant and helpful. The exhibits, as the name suggests, are very hands... More

We've always loved the Hands On! museum... and I say always because we went there a lot when I was a child! A lot of the museum is the same as it was 10+ years ago. Still, it's a fun place for the kiddos and they seem to really enjoy it. And for the price, it's worth it.

We took our grandchildren (ages 4 & 1) to the museum on a Thursday morning. They had a great time. There were many things for the 4 year old to do: explore, touch, examine, and learn. The 1 year old thoroughly enjoying pushing the shopping cart around in the grocery store. The stage and costumes were a big hit. They... More

Fun, many things that interested the kids. I had two of my kids with me -,daughter (age 9) and son (age 4), and they had a good time. Could have had a little more to see and do, though, considering we drove 2 hours from Knoxville to check it out...

At "Hands On," the educational value almost matches the fun quotient. We spent two hours there, but our six-year-old granddaughter could have stayed till closing. She sat through a short weather demonstration, dressed up as a ballerina and danced, climbed into the cockpit of an airplane, made arts and crafts, served as a bank teller, worked as a grocery store... We just had my daughters birthday there. They said just bring your gifts and relax. We paid for 15 kids and of course parents/family. It was a 1/4 of sheet of cake. Some guests didnt even get cake. The lady that assisted was so slow, I had to step in so that we could serve everyone before our 45 minutes... More
