Freedom Hall used to be one of the best places in the area to see a concert - back in the day - big acts like Aerosmith, ZZTOP, etc. frequented Freedom Hall. Sadly, due to the overuse for various school activities by both Johnson City Schools and ETSU, Freedom Hall has fallen into disarray. They refuse to spend any money... More

I've taken my daughter to a few shows at Freedom Hall. Sesame Street Live and Disney on Ice. It was a wonderful experience each time. Easy and quick to navigate in and out of venue. Wish they had better musical acts.

This is a building without a real purpose. The E.T.S.U. basketball program has revitalized the building to some degree but the days of this building being utilized to its fullest potential are waning. At one time it was used frequently for concerts and performances but as a city owned facility politics stymied much of that revenue in past decades due... More

Very good venue for basketball. An older facility but upgrades to the lights have been a big improvement. Needs work on PA system for basketball or maybe its just the acoustics. Restrooms not very good.

I like the space for a concert because there are no bad seats in the house. Ordering tickets was not a difficult tasks and parking is an easy in and out move. The location is easy to find especially for people out of town.

I've attended concerts and sporting events here. Parking can be tough and there's can be a good quarter mile walk which can be unpleasant in rainy or cold weather however, the venue itself leaves one with a good seat. There's no "nose bleed" section and every seat is really a good seat to enjoy the event you're attending.

this place is good because it brings a lot of acts that otherwise wouldn't be stopping in JC. Tickets are pretty reasonably priced as well. Parking was a nightmare though and I watched some guy roll his car into another car and tons of confusion going on. I saw ZZ Top here and was seriously disappointed they don't serve alcohol.... This place is bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside. We went on a Friday night for a concert and there was also a local football game going on at the highschool adjacent to the arena. When we heard there was a football game going on, we were a little worried about finding parking and having to... More
