hidden between Henderson and Whiteville, this park is a great get away from life. Cabins, fishing, and swimming in season are just right. When the restaurant is open, this is a good place to spend some time relaxing.

It's been over 10 years since I've been there and I don't remember alot. We went there to ride horses. It's the only park I knew of that had horse rentals close to us. The people at the horse rental were great.

If you don't mind running extra eletrical...

took my daughter and several friends for the afternoon to hike. this was a group of 11 and 12 years old girls. the hike was interesting enough and challenging enough to keep them engaged without being too over strenuous for me. there were a lot of down trees from a storm a while back, but all of the trails we...

Great for the whole family. Trails, campgrounds, the restaurant, the lake, boating, fishing, swimming. We have a ton of fun every time we go.
Had a great time. It was beautiful. Even had horses to rent for $20 pp. Cabins were a little to expensive for a state park.
I spend last week at Chickasaw State Park in one of the cabins. I knew what to expect, since I was tagging along with another family who stays there every summer. We cooked all our meals at the cabin for the whole week, swam in the lake, fished in the lake, rented paddle boats and fishing boats, went on the...
