Beautiful. Cheap and easy fun for the family.

We have visited this park several times. we have stayed in the cabins, swam in the lake, paddle boated and walked the trails and still have not done everything! There is also horse back riding and ten camping. There is a playground and basketball court for the kids. The trail is nice and not too long. You can just go... More

The park area was very nice. Had lots of playgrounds for the kids. They do have horseback riding for like $25 a person. Campground area was very nice and pretty. The downside is the man made beach head poop all over the place. Unsure of what type of poop if it was duck or dog but you had to be... More

The parking of the RV is not meant for a novice though if you have a bigger RV that you need to back in. The camp host, Woody,... More

If you like to hike, fish, or just sit and have a picnic by the lake, this is the place for you. My husband and I took the day hiking the beautiful trails, and just taking in how clean this park is. They also have camping, horseback riding, and a park for the kids

3 nights a year the park transforms into a drive-thru Christmas display. The entire park is decorated very nicely. It takes approx. 45 mins to drive through the park. Look for the dates and dont miss the experience. This will be a new tradition....

We landed at Atlanta on the 4th September, hired a car from Thrifty (Must have been the most disinterested, unhelpful and rude staff in the car hire business but this is another story). We drove to Birmingham and stopped over at the La Quinta hotel which was really good. After a good nights sleep we made our way to Chickasaw State... More

Nice little campground (not for big rigs, as it's limited to 30 amps). This is an older park, but they do a nice job maintaining it. The rest rooms/showers are acceptably clean. There are horse stables and a swimming beach nearby (Lake Placid). The lake has paddleboat rentals as well. The park is big enough for some hiking. There's a... More
