We have stayed in several state park cabins- this was our least favorite. Cabin number 6 set up was awkward- full size bed in a very small living room. Our cabin had a few bathroom problems- when you take a shower there is no way to prevent it from running out all over the floor. The oven/range had a short... More

Excellent place to enjoy nature and have an excellent meal, with the best view in west Tennessee, all the staff was very helpful, and service all around was great! Would recommend it as a quick get away, for a quite weekend.

We rented one of the one-bedroom cabins at Chickasaw State Park to attend a famiy reunion held at the park every year. Aside from the shower itself being rather small, we were satisfied with the cabin. They come fully furnished so you don't need to bring anything unless you want something like a slow-cooker or large roaster pan. The deck... More

We loved staying here. We rented one of the cabins the park has. (FYI: If you have allergies or sinus issues open ALL of the windows and let the cabin air out.) The cabins were nice and rustic . They were quiet and clean. They have 2 different size cabins and they are near the lake. The bridge was out... More

Loved the location in the rolling hills of west Tennessee with tall trees and a lot of wildlife. We stayed for three nights in Handicap Accessible Cabin #13, located on the main road as you enter the park. The cabin was spacious, comfortable, and well supplied - air conditioner worked extremely well, too. Staff were friendly, cheerful, and eager to... More

We stopped to check out the park and the lake for a bit of hiking. Once we got there we discovered some horse stables where you can take an hour-long trail ride through the woods for $23 per person. My seven year old son had the time of his life! The guides are friendly and helpful and the horses are... More

hidden between Henderson and Whiteville, this park is a great get away from life. Cabins, fishing, and swimming in season are just right. When the restaurant is open, this is a good place to spend some time relaxing.

It's been over 10 years since I've been there and I don't remember alot. We went there to ride horses. It's the only park I knew of that had horse rentals close to us. The people at the horse rental were great.
