Not just walking tours, we now offer bicycle tours and rentals too. The ghost tour is our most popular tour, but visitors also love hearing about the rich past that lies just beneath the surface of Franklin's quaint Victorian charm. Site of "the most famous battle you've never heard of," according to National Geographic, Franklin's Civil War story will amaze and enlighten you on the most divisive time in American history. Just minutes south of Nashville, Franklin is often cited as one of the most beautiful downtowns in the U.S. Our enthusiastic, knowledgeable guides will make your visit to historic Franklin an unforgettable experience. Our tours include the Classic Franklin city tour, Civil War in Franklin, Grave Matters in the Cemetery, and for fans of evening activities, the Haunted Franklin, Ghosts of the Battlefield at the Lotz House and Murder and Mayhem Tours. Bicycle tours and rentals are available from March-November and our Southern Style food tours allow visitors to savor the flavors of Franklin and enjoy history at the same time. Most tours are available daily by advance reservation; some tours have minimums. Just call and see how flexible and accommodating we can be.

We took the Franklin on Foot downtown hauntings tour Friday evening with Margie, the owner. My husband & I enjoyed our tour immensely, as did every single person on the tour! Our ninety minute tour actually lasted closer to two hours (which was fantastic!) and was filled with awesome stories of old and new Franklin, Tennessee. Margie is an amazing... More

Our tour guide, Margie, was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable about Franklin and the history connected with the civil war. She was hospitable and welcomed us warmly. Margie answered all questions with clarity and knew all the answers. I would recommend this walking tour to anyone new to the city. I would suggest that you do this tour first, then... More

Margie was a fabulous host and very informative with many more stories than she had time to share. My 9 and 11 year olds were very intrigued with the tales she had as well as the "proof" pictures she shared. What a great way to learn about the history of this neat little town. Time and money well spent if... More

We went on the Haunted Tour last weekend. Margie's not much of a story teller; lotsa "she said" and "I said" and "she said" and "I said". You expect the ghost stories to be hokey, but maybe less of a chat with your girlfriend and more of a story. I'd also bought my wife a ticket to the Southwest Food... More

It's obvious the real motivation for this review is the fact that the customer's wife didn't show up for our Southern Food tour she had scheduled for 2 days later, and was upset when we could not refund the payment. If she had called even 30 minutes before the start of the food tour, we could have rescheduled, but she... More

We parked in the circle and walked through the town and enjoyed it very much. There were plaques that explained about the history and the battles that were fought in the area during the Civil War! And the shops were fun!

So, with the lighting striking in the sky and the sounds of thunder, Margie gave us a fantastic ghost tour of Franklin. It's a 90 minute tour and you walk with her for about 1/2 mile in all. With the natural sound effects in the background I found her stories giving me a chill down my back. It's not that... More

Enjoyed strolling through historic Franklin learning about the role of Tennessee in the Civil War. We liked the stories that were told about the people and historical buildings and houses of Franklin. We recommend calling the company because the booking is confusing and difficult on the website.
