Site of "the most famous battle you've never heard of," according to National Geographic, Franklin's Civil War story will amaze and enlighten you on the most divisive time in American history. Just minutes south of Nashville, Franklin is often cited as one of the most beautiful downtowns in the U.S. Our enthusiastic, knowledgeable guides will make your visit to historic Franklin an unforgettable experience. Our tours include the Classic Franklin city tour, Civil War in Franklin, Grave Matters in the Cemetery, and for fans of evening activities, the Haunted Franklin, Ghosts of the Battlefield at the Lotz House and Murder and Mayhem Tours. Bicycle tours and rentals are available from March-November and our Southern Style food tours allow visitors to savor the flavors of Franklin and enjoy history at the same time. We had a group of 8 on a sunny Saturday afternoon for a tour with Margie. She is a walking encyclopedia on not only the area and civil war but also on the personalities and characters that shaped the town and the war. It was a great tour and Franklin is a wonderful gem south of Nashville that is well... More

Beautiful trendy shops, wonderful food (coffeehouse one street over from the main drag served a fantastic lunch!), and friendly shop owners. We loved the Spice shop. Great way to break up the road trip we took from Tallahassee to Chicago! Franklin never ceases to amaze me.

I currently live in the Nashville area, but lived in Franklin for 20 years. It is a fun and interesting place to visit, both for couples and families. The Franklin on Foot Tours are well worth checking out. They have the "Classic" Franklin Tour which gives you a good look at this great Southern town, Civil War tour, and Ghost... More

My husband and I celebrated my birthday with Margie's Downtown Franklin Food Tour. It was more than anticipated and turned out to be a spectacular date! We visited five restaurants. We met the owners, staff, and toured each location. We were provided a "sampler" of each restaurants signature foods. We stopped into local boutique shops. Our tour guide had called... More

We visited Nashville in April 2014. One of the attractions we enjoyed was the Haunted Franklin walking ghost tour. Located in the quaint town of Franklin, TN, this walking tour was interesting and entertaining. It was a mix of contemporary ghost stories and historical ghost tales. As Northerners, it was very fascinating to hear about the Confederate Army. Originally, our... More

We were in Nashville a couple of weekends ago and decided to go down to Franklin, and were really glad we did. I called Franklin On Foot and even at the last minute and with just 2 of us, they were able to set us up on a great food tour. We not only got a walking tour of the... More

My friends and I had a ton of fun on this tour! Our guide was humorous and informative. We walked to (I think?) a total of five different places, all which were equally interesting to learn about. I've recommended these tours to everyone, and I look forward to going on the Ghosts of Christmas past tour this year! Also, the... More

My husband and I went on this tour as a date last night. We had Mr. Rob Cross as our guide. We thoroughly enjoyed the way he told the stories we both enjoyed the history and his expertise on each topic discussed. We were very pleased with our experience and I'm glad we were able to enjoy an evening listening... More
