Not just walking tours, we now offer bicycle tours and rentals too. The ghost tour is our most popular tour, but visitors also love hearing about the rich past that lies just beneath the surface of Franklin's quaint Victorian charm. Site of "the most famous battle you've never heard of," according to National Geographic, Franklin's Civil War story will amaze and enlighten you on the most divisive time in American history. Just minutes south of Nashville, Franklin is often cited as one of the most beautiful downtowns in the U.S. Our enthusiastic, knowledgeable guides will make your visit to historic Franklin an unforgettable experience. Our tours include the Classic Franklin city tour, Civil War in Franklin, Grave Matters in the Cemetery, and for fans of evening activities, the Haunted Franklin, Ghosts of the Battlefield at the Lotz House and Murder and Mayhem Tours. Bicycle tours and rentals are available from March-November and our Southern Style food tours allow visitors to savor the flavors of Franklin and enjoy history at the same time. Most tours are available daily by advance reservation; some tours have minimums. Just call and see how flexible and accommodating we can be.

We walked this tour by ourselves with a guide. Easy walking and so many delightful historical homes and churches on a beautiful spring morning.

When my parents were in town visiting, we decided to do a ghost tour. Franklin, not surprisingly, is a very haunted town, and much of the haunting has to do with its civil war history. The tour focuses on downtown, so it's very easy to get around.

Franklin is a beautiful southern city with so much history! The walking tour was a great way to be introduced to the city and historical sites for the first time. Margie was a wonderful tour guide and very animated and knowlegeable while speaking of The Battle of Franklin, noteable Franklin residents from the past, and Franklin itself's history. Add this... We came to Nashville for spring break with our 6 year old and 8 year old. I found a groupon for the Franklin on Foot tours and decided "why not?". My husband and two kids decided on the haunted tour and I am glad they did. Margie, our guide, was awesome. She interacted with the kids and made sure to... More

We did the ghost tour this month. She did a good job and kept the stores interesting. This is a fun way to spend an evening, but not a "must do" activity.

Spent a beautiful day in Franklin with Margie discovering the stories and back stories of the famous bloody Battle of Franklin. If you love history, you will LOVE Margie's tour with great stories of the real people that were involved and suffered in that amazing battle. We got lucky visiting the Lotz house in having J.T. give us an extraordinary... More

This was the first ghost tour I've been on, as well as my first time visiting the state of Tennessee. Thankfully, my friend and I were fortunate enough to have Margie as our guide. It was evident that she took both pride and joy in telling the stories of the town's past, making it almost impossible not to share her... More

My wife and I spent two entertaining and enlightening hours with Margie this week. We didn't have the opportunity to hear her Ghost Tour but she explained how the battle effected the citizens of Franklin after the war. The tour was well worth the fee and when we go back to Franklin we will definitely take the evening ghost tour.... More

My wife and I have been on many ghost tours. This ghost tour happens to be on the top. Margie was our tour guide. We realized through our tour how fortunate we were to have her as our guide. We went to many places in historic downtown Franklin and learned a lot about the history and back stories of the... More
