Glad we didn't miss this non-touristy beautiful place. a few miles from the caverns but well worth it for the beautiful top of the mountain views. No traffic, just gorgeous scenery and peaceful settings.

We rode the go-karts, played mini golf, and mined for gems. We did not partake in the caves due to allergies. Nice little place, good customer service, but go-kart ride should last longer than five minutes, especially when there were only two young boys (mine) out there and there were not any other customers around.

Took a motorcycle ride with my wife and cousin while in town. It was a warm day and the route there was nice. the staff that provided us with information were very helpful and courteous. The views were impressive. If you're on your bike take the time to ride the roads around the facility.

TVA does a good job with turning areas around its dams into natural/recreation areas. Raccoon Mountain is a unique power plant, an engineering marvel. Take the time to drive by and check it out.

Came here specifically for live wire. We parked at the switchyard trailhead, went down some poorly marked trails (assuming the switchyard trail) and then hooked up to live wire 1. The trails aren't marked well, lots going off in different directions. We referenced the map we had on our phone a few times. It said the switchyard was fast and... More

We love to bike ride at the Raccoon Mountain Pump Storage Facility. Relatively flat around the reservoir, very low traffic with gorgeous views. Nice picnic area and a great place to hike also On the top of Raccoon Mountain so the view in Autumn is spectacular.

We've enjoyed several trips up to the dam. The area is not crowded and the boys love fishing here. There are also go karts nearby which makes for a great outing!

My wife, myself and another couple were in Chattanooga for a 4 day "weekend" trip on our motorcycles and went on a ride to Raccoon Mountain and went to the dam area. BEAUTIFUL AREA and a great ride. Interesting sights around the river and the lake
