Down by the damn and traveling the river path toward downtown is awesome. When you get past the Veterans bridge the experience can be ruined by teenagers and homeless who can be rude and crude.

My family and I spent a couple of hours taking in the breathtaking views. My favorite part was walking the bridges and watching the tour boats pass by. You can easily spend a whole day wondering the different trails. There's an area that has grills and is perfect for a family picnic. Plenty of all day parking within walking distance.

The City has done a marvelous job with providing a safe and attractive walk for the general populous. It was clean, free of graffiti, and vulgar language so common in larger U.S. cities.

Good place to meet and talk to locals if they are running or biking. It was not marked very well by signage but easy enough to find. Wish it had more shady areas along the walk.

My guy and I visit Chattanooga regularly for 'Date Weekends' and we love walking around Riverpark. On our last trip we had plans to visit several places but ended up enjoying exploring around the park for the entire day. We parked & grabbed some coffee from a street vendor and proceeded to walk around, geocache, take pictures, and have a... More

The Tennessee River Park is an eight mile walking trail from Downtown Chattanooga to the Chickamauga Dam. The park runs along the Tennessee river with absolutely beautiful views and is interspersed with pocket parks that have everything from fishing piers, playgrounds, beautiful bridges, covered pavilions, grills and picnic tables, and even a Nathan's Hot Dog stand, and Brewster's Ice Cream...
