Yes, it's a giant model of the Chattanooga area with a light/sounds and narrative of the different aspects Chattanooga played during the Civil War. Very informative, but just know that this is just shy of a tourist trap considering the real detailed history is next door at the National Park office and visitor's center. I'm a resident of Chattanooga and... More

My husband wanted to visit this attraction because of the colorful brochure he picked up. The brochure depicted a reenactment of a civil war battle. I usually research every attraction before we visit but this was his spur of the moment idea. The Battles for Chattanooga museum has it's good parts in it's bad parts. For the average tourist, it's map provides an excellent view of the battle of Chattanooga that not many other sites can provide. However, it is owned by Rock City, so you have the tourist trap part as well. It has a gift shop that takes up most... More

Got kind of trapped in this one. History buff in the group didn't even like it. Might be a nice respite from sweltering heat, the story puts the park in perspective, but if you are limited for time just go look through the park. Mildly entertaining. You sit in a small comfortable theater and listen to battle stories while a... More
