We chanced upon the museum on a snowy (!) February day. We had free admission with our annual Rock City passes so we thought we would give it a try. The lady behind the desk was extremely patient with my two boys spending their $5 one dollar at a time, and provided lots of napkins in case their ice-creams started... more

The Battles for Chattanooga museum has it's good parts in it's bad parts. For the average tourist, it's map provides an excellent view of the battle of Chattanooga that not many other sites can provide. However, it is owned by Rock City, so you have the tourist trap part as well. It has a gift shop that takes up most... more

Got kind of trapped in this one. History buff in the group didn't even like it. Might be a nice respite from sweltering heat, the story puts the park in perspective, but if you are limited for time just go look through the park. Mildly entertaining.
