I have hosted a couple of conferences here, so I know the Choo Choo pretty well. The facility is pretty old and it feels dated, but it is a hotel that was formerly a train station, so it's also pretty amazing! If I was going to stay at the Choo Choo, I'd make sure I'd stay in one of their... More

We are not from Chattanooga & were meeting other out-of-town family at the Choo-Choo. They were running late, so we waited in the lobby for awhile. The Garden Restaurant was closed because it only serves breakfast while the place is undergoing rennovations. We couldn't get anything to eat & there was nothing to do there. We felt incredibly sorry for... More

I was, of course, blessed to have a very beautiful girl friend take me on a tour of Chattanooga Choo Choo. Everyone was friendly and courteous and the weather was great!

I remember only a few years back, this was a great place to visit, with shops, restaurants, and museum. Now all there is is the choo-choo, train station, and 2 little over priced shops that have no trains or anything related to the choo-choo. Very sad that this is what helped make this city famous, be as run down and... More

This was a very relaxing stop during a busy long weekend. We could see there is a lot of renovation going on, but we enjoyed seeing what was there as it was. The hotel lobby is GORGEOUS, the trains were fun to walk around, the dining car looks like a fun place to have a burger and it was all... More

I LOVE the Chattanooga Choo Choo. I grew up in Chattanooga and it has so many good memories for me! It still is a great place to visit. I love its landscape and the shops and the train. It has gotten bigger since I grew up and it is a nice place. Very family friendly. I have never eaten there,... More

The real experience is by walking through the hotel lobby and then on to the tracks past all the cabooses. The gardens on the platforms are nice to observe. If you wish to stay at the hotel, then rent one of the caboose rooms for a truly wonderful experience.

Seriously extremely disappointed. There is history ... Yes. That's it. Otherwise it's a glorified Motel 6.

We went in Feb. 2015. It was a ghost town. Everything is closed for renovation. We made a special stop in Chattanooga while traveling just to go to the Choo Choo. We have a 3 yr. old who loves trains and Thomas. It was almost scary because of all of the vacant buildings and no people. Make sure before you... More
