We went in Feb. 2015. It was a ghost town. Everything is closed for renovation. We made a special stop in Chattanooga while traveling just to go to the Choo Choo. We have a 3 yr. old who loves trains and Thomas. It was almost scary because of all of the vacant buildings and no people. Make sure before you... More

I went there for a convention. The place itself was gorgeous and located within walking distance of several local restaurants. It's wonderful at night but didn't really seem like there would be much to do

The hotel was great to visit and the decorating was beautiful. But the best part of our trip was our train conductor. Knowledgeable, enthusiastic and very friendly.

The station is clearly in serious decline and rather sad . Many of the railway buildings were shut, and those that were showing the old photos were very gloomy. The restaurant was undergoing renovation. So glad we didn't stay here in the hotel wagons; my wife would have divorced me on the spot The train in all its gaudy colours... More

We enjoyed walking around, but things looked worn out. We took the free bus to get there and back. Enjoyed the bus ride over to see the other parts of downtown.

Nice place to visit, very historical. Good spot to take some great pictures. A few shops and food, go inside the hotel/ terminal to see the architect, dome and art. Would like to spend the night in one of the train cars, but did not have plans. Will return and do more.

This place is always so relaxing. Walking around the old train cars you expect Sherlock Holmes or another character from the past to step out Several restaurants here that always serve the highest quality. I highly recommend visiting for dinner, stroll around the shops or to just take in the ambiance.

The Choo Choo has a variety of things to appeal to everyone. There are train car hotel rooms, a hotel, trains scenic gardens and wonderful restaurants. I love seeing it at Christmas!

It was very interesting to see this historic train. The locomotive is available to see and be inside the cab. The remainder of the train, dinning cars/seeping cars are only visible inside if you are tall enough to see in the windows. How wonderful it would be if you could walk a catwalk alongside to see into the cars! We... More

I was fortunate to visit this historic place with a group from my college. This was one of our stops while in Chattanooga. The Chattanooga Choo Choo is also has a hotel and restaurant at this location. While the architecture is beautiful along with the gardens the public bathrooms at the hotel were lets put it this way they were... More
