Historic terminal building and old train cars make this appear to be an interesting place to visit. However the staff was rude and made me feel unwelcome. Additionally the men's room nasty with fecal matter on the floor. I cannot recall the last time I was made to feel unwelcome in a place open to the public as the model... More

Even if you are not staying there (we did not this visit) you must go and see the historical value of this place. If you have little ones they will LOVE it. The gardens are pretty and the lobby is dripping with architectural details. The staff was SUPER at the front desk on where to eat, how to get from... More

I was surprised they had the complete train for view plus the hotel on site was the original train station. You could tour the train, the museum or gift shop but because we had our dog with us was limited for us to access these places. I purchased a collectible bell as spoons were not available.

The Choo Choo is a nice quaint place to spent a morning or an afternoon. We had a great lunch in the Restaurant and basically just walked around the grounds and took lots of pictures.

The Choo Choo is free and open to the public in a courtyard-like area of the hotel. You can go up and look at it, but that is about it. The grounds around the train are filled with fountains and well maintained hedges. The kids seemed to have more fun running around the hedges than looking at the Choo Choo.... More

Hotel is a historic landmark, so expect it to be dated, but definitely needs a pretty major upgrade. The entire place just has a 70's feel to it, rather than "historic". Our room had paper thin walls, a "just OK" bed, no refrigerator or microwave. Wifi is free and you don't need a password, so that was good. My son... More

Of course it is an iconic place memorialized in song and folklore. That being said it was only mildly fascinating. If kids are in tow they will love it with all the ice cream shops, curiosity stops such as photo booths and other fascinating "tourist trap machines" along the way it is worth a quick browse. What I did like... More

So it's not that great but really it's all about the song! Can't be in Chattanooga without seeing the Choo Choo. I did expect it to be signed as an attraction but it wasn't fortunately we took a guess that it would be near the Chattanooga Hotel and there it was tucked behind. It's a 10 minute stop unless you... We always choose this place as our first choice if staying in Chattanooga, I must say its our favorite! We always enjoy there great food and southern hospitality! This was our first time of many staying there that we choose to stay in one of their hotel suite. We were amazed! It was all and more than we expected. We... More

kind of run down , dirty , not much to see except some old pullman cars and rail terminal ,which were all locked ! The little steam engine on display was not what usually pulled the pullman cars one would think there would be a correct sized engine to match the rest of the displayed cars. The few shops that...
