This hotel is older but so much to do you don't have to leave the grounds. Rose garden, model train exhibit, trolley, trains, and pools. Plus the food is great and economical, kids eat free! We had dinner and it was fabulous, plus breakfast. They also have a sweet shop, yummy! The kids enjoyed all as well including the arcade.... More

The renovated passenger terminal is now, mostly, a hotel/restaurant complex. We didn't stay or eat there, so I can't address those aspects. However, the antique trolley ride is enjoyable if brief, and the buildings and old trains are very eye-catching. A nice diversion, but -- again unless you;re going to patronize the hotel or restaurants -- not really a main... More

As other reviewers have said, the Chattanooga Choo Choo is looking a bit shabby. The lobby is very pretty, but the rest feels rambling and kitschy. We stopped in to take the trolley ride with our kids, which was only $3 per person. Also, the front desk allowed us park for free in the hotel registration out front, so that... More

I recently visited the Chattanooga Choo Choo after many years. I did not stay there this time, nor did I eat. Just walking around it seemed quite rundown. The fortune teller machines gave it a tacky feel. It really looked like it needed a lot of refurbishment and cleaning in general. I can't speak for the hotel rooms, as they... More

On a cloudy afternoon, we headed downtown to check out the attractions. First stop was the Chattanooga Choo Choo miniature railroad display located at the Chattanooga Choo Choo Hotel. The display is very well done and the man hours placed in its development has to be in the thousands. However, it has been around for awhile and in need of... More

My daughter and I zoomed off the freeway on a whim to see the Chattanooga Choo Choo and were glad we did. We found free parking and enjoyed our walk around the historic station now a beautiful hotel. They were setting out a buffet lunch and the desserts looked pretty spectacular but we had unfortunately just eaten. Gift shop was... More

At first, we were a little scared to get out of the car because the neighborhood looked a little unsafe, but it turned out to be fine. The old train station checkin area was very authentic and quaint. Our room was clean and large and we overlooked the lazy river type pool. It was very nice.

Well, actually the model trains were awesome themselves but not the experience overall seeing them. Some of the buttons for interacting with the trains didn't work. It seemed like the entire exhibit just wasn't kept up that much. It looked really run down inside and outside the building. I think this place has seen its better days. An occasional smile... More

I was thinking about staying here with the wife, but decided to RV the trip with the grandchildren. What appealed to me was sleeping in the old railway cars and cabooses. After seeing the place I'm already thinking about going back. The lobby is huge and gorgeous, the bar a view of times past, and even the meeting rooms are... More

Nice attraction. Well laid out with easy access. My dad's a great Glen Miller fan so we too lots of photos to wind him up, lol. Staff were most helpful and eager to help and they were quite knowlegable as well. Well worth a visit
