We visited here on our recent trip to Chattanooga. The lobby area is gorgeous as it was the train station. You can sleep in a renovated train car. The hotel rooms are small like most older hotels. The grounds are beautiful and the roses were in full bloom when we were there. There was a free electric shuttle bus to... More

I have read other people's reviews on this hotel and quite a few said it was a bit dated. But in my opinion this is what gives the Cho Choo a unique atmosphere. The room I shared with my son was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was very varied and plentiful.

Loved the history of this place. The grand lobby of the original train station is definitely something to see. But do NOT stay here. Had we not been with a group and unable to change hotels, I would've gone some place else. The "chain bar" on the room was broken, light fixtures were dirty, the soap dish in bath/shower had... We spent two nights in May '15 in Building 3 of the Chattanooga Hotel. Other previous reviews indicated that the hotel is undergoing renovation, so we expected some inconvenience. But what we experienced was a large disappointment! Building 3 is obviously the newest addition to their property, but in our opinion, the room was only adequate, and they should NOT... More

The highlights of this property are the beautiful grounds, the grand train station lobby area, the historic train cars and the location. The hotel is undergoing a needed renovation and new shops will be added to the areas around the lobby. The front area of the hotel has the lobby, lobby bar, gardens and rooms in train cars. This area... More

We visited Chattanooga, and stayed at the Chattanooga Choo Choo Hotel. This is a very nice place that turned the old Train Station into a hotel and restaurants. Our room was in one of the train cars and as nice as this was the place is going through renovations. Unfortunately, a lot of places were closed due to this like... More

Arguably the best thing about this place was the blossom on the trees, it was just beginning to fall & created beautiful blossom carpets. The grounds within the hotel are very nice. A quiet peaceful place. I imagine this place is great for train enthusiasts, which isn't me. However, the Choo Choo itself is pretty cool to see, and you... More

I have hosted a couple of conferences here, so I know the Choo Choo pretty well. The facility is pretty old and it feels dated, but it is a hotel that was formerly a train station, so it's also pretty amazing! If I was going to stay at the Choo Choo, I'd make sure I'd stay in one of their... More

We are not from Chattanooga & were meeting other out-of-town family at the Choo-Choo. They were running late, so we waited in the lobby for awhile. The Garden Restaurant was closed because it only serves breakfast while the place is undergoing rennovations. We couldn't get anything to eat & there was nothing to do there. We felt incredibly sorry for... More

I was, of course, blessed to have a very beautiful girl friend take me on a tour of Chattanooga Choo Choo. Everyone was friendly and courteous and the weather was great!
