This hotel is the old Southern Railway Terminal. In years past when Hilton owned the property is was well maintained with a very unique restaurants where the wiaters sang and entertained during dinner plus other attractions like rail car rooms, lounges and restaurants. The hotel is under renovation at present but hopefully it will be returned to it's very nice... More

Took the whole family here for Thanksgiving dinner and was thoroughly impressed. It was like the midnight buffet's that use to be on cruise ships.

So sometimes we try to go to places on a budget, but still have fun. We slept very comfortably, 2 adults and 3 young children, in a train car. Had a great time. Some of the stores were closed for the weekend and only found one place across the street to eat on Sunday, but otherwise the kids were very... More

So this is a hotel now, which seems to be nice. The trains are outside, but there really is not much to see or do. We took one picture and left. Expected a little more to be honest.

This place looks great from the outside and has a lot of history attached to it. The idea of turning old train cars into rooms is assume yet the place looks a little run down. The lobby and dining room (located at the old train station) looks great but we had a pick at one of the rooms and it... More

We didn't stay at the hotel but this was our second time of stopping by to see the trains. There was also a giant chess game as well as checkers which my boys enjoyed playing.

Besides staying in a hotel or railroad car there are lots of shops. There used to be a model railroad there too. Just so much to see and do. Besides all that you are right in downtown Chattanooga and you can take a horse drawn ride through town. Lots of parking available.

I took my wife to see the chop-choo last night. The place inside the lobby looks great, the big tree for Christmas and the other decorations scattered around. Out back where the trains are is jus sloppy now. The gift shop is small and has the stuff you remember from a 1980 tourist trap gift shop. If you collect thimbles... More

For years I have heard the song about this train. It is now, I believe a hotel? Not sure. It must of been a wonderful attraction in the past, but today it was just something to look at and walk away. Did not find anyone with the history of this train. Hope the city will take time to bring it... More

I would give it 5 stars, except for the noisy house keeping crew. This place is very unique. you can stay in a newly renovated hotel area or in a train car. The staff is very friendly and the old train depot is amazing. There is work that needs to be done to this facility and they are trying to... More
