Lookout Mountain, or really a plateau that goes 90 miles through Georgia, and Alabama as well as Tennessee, is a fantastic place to visit. There are lots of wonderful things to see if you take the time to drive. The incline railway, with its history dating back to the1860's, goes up the slope at as much as a 72 degree... more

Point Park, which is part of Lookout Mountain Battlefield, which is part of the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park, is the place to go if you like to save money, want to enjoy the natural beauty of the mountain, see great views, go at your own pace, and avoid crowds. If you go down the long staircase and take... more

It really was a fun ride, but I thought the price was a little expensive. Park at the bottom, it's free to park. If you have all day, then get the 3 way pass that you can use at the Incline, Rock City and Ruby Falls. The ride up is a little crazy. You start off reclined in your chair,... more

I expected good views of Chattanooga, but there is a lot more to do and see on Lookout Mountain. Point Park, as the name indicates, is the north point of the mountain, with spectacular views north, east and west. The Incline Railway is a real thrill, worth the wait on a busy summer day. We were surprised to find a... more

Look out mountain is exactly that, a mountain. It is a steep drive up to the top where people live and flourish. Of course there are attractions, ruby fall and rock city, they are nice places to go. Lookout mountain is just a place, like a city, a place to visit not a place to go imparticullary. more

Visited 11/07. My only complaint is that it seemed like the money was going to previate operators, and thus like we were lining their pockets. Some of the jokes of the tour guides got a little old. Still, the place itself is cool, and seeing all the formations was interesting. We did the combo pass with the aquarium. more

If you are going to Lookout Mountain, you just have to experience the Incline Railway. It is a beautiful trip up to the top of the mountain. People who are afraid of heights, don't do it. Would do it again. more
