Just visited on our honeymoon and I have to say, I was very impressed. The views and atmosphere were romantic. It definitely earned me some brownie points, going back tonight to see the Christmas lights.

Stopped on our way back home to Florida. We first visited last night and saw the Christmas lights and that was incredible!! We went back first thing this morning before heading home and had the place to ourselves . . . That was even better. Parking was easy, the staff was SUPER, and the views truly are breathtaking. Dress warm... More

A must see if you're in Chattanooga. We went again this year during Thanksgiving. They have the whole path lit up with Christmas lights. Go a bit later in the evening to avoid the crowds. Also, totally worth the extra $20 to go during the day as well. Can't recommend it enough!

We did the incline, but very scary to me because I am afraid of heights. We then drove over to See Rock City and enjoyed seeing all 7 states since it was a clear day.

Christmas time here at Lookout Mountain is beautiful! There is the colorful hiking that you can do starting with Craven's house, Point Park, & Sunset Rock. Then for the smaller ones in the family there is Rock City. Rock City is great for all ages & is very inexpensive for your pocket. Rock City is having their Enchanted Lights display!!!... More

There aren't a lot of places to lookout! Most properties are privately owned. Ask the guide along the street at Ruby Falls if you are coming in from Chattanooga and he/she will tell you about various places you may have the best view. We rode up to the incline railway stop. It is free to walk out onto their observation... More

Last weekend my wife and I did a 5 mile hike up Lookout Mtn from Cravens House to Point Park and then to Sunset Rock. Strenuous climb but the views were well worth the effort. Watch for snakes though in early Spring.

Having been to many civil war historical sites I was a little disappointed that this is a small park in a residential area. It is a beautiful view and a historical landmark, but it was not quite what I expected.
