Rock City was Awesome!

Beautiful gardens! Great for families with young children! We also enjoyed the Fairytale Nights although thought it was a little overpriced for only being open 3 hours at night.

We drove to the top of Lookout Mountain just for the heck of it. We had our Chihuahuas with us so we had no intentions of going to Rock City or Ruby Falls, though we passed both on the mountain. The view is magnificent. It's a shame you have to pay to get into the park (we didn't venture in).... More

We had a blast at rock city. My 4 year old loved it. I thought she would be hesitant with the swinging bridge and having to squeeze between the rocks in certain spots but she loved it! And point park is right up the road. Its the most amazing view of chattanooga I've seen!

The view from the top is amazing. This is not what I would call wheel chair or stroller friendly. It is more about nature than entertainment.

Because the views are amazing. Want a Tip? From st Elmo take the incline train for $15 pp return - but you may have to wait for an hour to get on the train - AND just as long to come down if the lines are busy! So, drive up, as it only takes 12 minutes from the incline train.... More

My son and I had such a wonderful time wandering around Rock City! The weather was delightful and the whole place was so much more than I was expecting. My son and visited from Hawaii, and my friend had suggested we take the time to visit Rock City. It was worth it. The drive up is twisty, but the views... More

We loved being on top of lookout mountain! All four in my family are afraid of heights, but there was plenty of railing and safe walkways. The scenery was beautiful and Rock City was really a neat place to explore. I would highly recommend going if you're in Chattanooga.

I live in Chattanooga and I have worked on Lookout Mountain for 10 years. The thing to keep in mind is that this is a residential neighborhood with homes (some of them very nice), schools, churches, and five old-school attractions. Rock City, Ruby Falls, the Incline, Point Park, and Craven's House are all on the mountain and you can find... More
