Exactly: NICE wooded campground

One of the shadiest places we've ever camped in. Lots of activities, families, and campfires here. A very nice place.

We came to the park for a family reunion and stayed in Cabin #1. Although the cabin looked okay when I stepped in the door, the longer we stayed there, the more faults I found. Many of the electrical things simply didn't work. The cabin was the dirtiest one I've ever been in--someone mentioned that at least I wasn't in... More

We visited Henry Horton State Park's campground for the first time. The campground is heavily wooded and the sites are spacious. There is a tent camping area & an RV area with water & electric (no sewer). The camp store is closed Monday through Thursday, so we were not able to buy anything there. The bath house is very nice,... More

Lots to do and easy to get to everything. Inn, pool, restaurant, golf course, walking trails, tennis courts, volleyball court, Duck River, disc golf, playgrounds, etc. are all close together and easy to get to everything by walking. Lots to do, clean, friendly.

Camping was great, it has been recently updated and camping pads are large. We stayed on site 45. It was level with lots of shade trees. We will be going back soon.

My sister and her husband were visiting from New England, we had heard good things about the restaurant (we went on a Thursday) so we told them they should enjoy the buffet. Worst meal I ever had, The pork chops were thin, dry and tough. The salad bar was a joke (little variety). Deserts were tasteless. The only I found... More

We really enjoyed tent camping at Henry Horton! Great campsites (we stayed at the "primitive" camping area), lots to do, nice trails, clean facilities. Campsites are wooded and well maintained. The only downside, bathrooms are pretty far from the primitive camping area and if you are a light sleeper the road and train noise at night is really almost a... More

HHSP campgrounds had a make over in 2014. The campground is great. All new paved road and each site has been paved. New electrical and water hookups and even a faint WiFi signal (but don't depend on its strength ). The campground is very wooded and each spot is spaced out so you are not on top of each other.... We went for a last minute camping trip last weekend. 5 adults and 5 kids ages 1 - 14. The only site available was a large RV site but it was perfect for us since we had 3 cars and 3 tents. We only got a little way into one of the trails but it was awesome to go off... More

Was a very spacious campsite where my husband stayed at tonight. The bathrooms were clean. Didn't get to see too much of the park but from what I did see it look like it was well kept.
