We rented a cabin for a couple of days and it was well worth it! This park has a limited number of cabins and vary from 2 to 3 bedrooms and 1 to 2 bathrooms. With a full kitchen area, Full Refrigerator, cooking utensils and enough dinnerware for 6 occupants it was a welcome change from eating out every night.... More

We went camping at HH for Thanksgiving. We were there for 4 days. Hey have redone the campground. Very nice and woodsy. The bathrooms are nice. Could be a little warmer. CON: Need desperately to de-lime the shower heads. So crusty the water was spraying everything but me. The hiking was moderate, not too easy not too hard. Kayaking is... More

My husband and I had planned a camping trip with two of the grandkids. It was originally suppose to be tent camping, but unplanned cold weather changed that! We tried to reserve a cabin, but they were full, so we settled for an inn room. When we checked in, we asked if there were any cancellations for a cabin and... More

So we tent camped for 2 nights and the campground is very nice! The sites are well maintained, the bath house was very clean...and warm (it was nippy at night!), the folks that live at and maintain the grounds are very nice and they have wood/kindling if you need it. Also...there are stores right down the road if you need... More

I'm so pleased that some updating was done to the campground. It really needed it! There are new bathhouses that are really nice. Big shower stalls. The campsites have a wide, paved pad and have been cleaned up. So much improvement has been done. It's a great place to camp!

Yesterday I visited Henry Horton State Park for the first time for the sole purpose of hiking with my dogs while my husband was in a meeting. I loved it!! The trails of are pretty and and rich in the ecology or the area. River...hardwood forests...cedar glades.... fields...old homesteads and cars...backcountry campsites. The best part is the trails are easy... More

We had campsite 26 and it was great. (But don't tell anyone) The pad was wide enough to have both our class C and their nice new wooden picnic table on and have plenty of room to move around. The campground looks as if it has been recently renovated, the pavement was new, the water faucets and electrical boxes were... More

We recently spent 3 nights at Henry Horton as part of a family gathering. We booked our cabin a year in advance (including giving a deposit), and on the day that I was to check in, I had to argue with the staff to prove it. We ended up in a different cabin for a night. That aside, the cabins... More

We drove three hours to this park with our flat back canoe on the trailer, understanding through all information online that there was a boat ramp available. However, there is no place to but in a boat from a trailer without a 4 wheel drive anywhere there or close by. The very steep ramp at the park is blocked and... More

This park was a day trip for us. It has beautiful picnic areas and lots of playgrounds! We saw deer on the campground/golf course side. That's always a treat! There is a pool which anyone can use for a fee (if you stay overnight, I think it's free). Cabins look like they need a little TLC. An inn is also... More
