We stopped at the Wall Drug Store out of mere curiosity bc we saw 100 signs advertising it. It was a cute little tourist stop that had all kinds of crazy gifts. I am glad we didn't go during peak season because I am sure it is crazy once the tourists begin to flock around this little town.

This is the Mecca of souviner shops! Nice stop to get out and stretch your legs. You don't need a lot of time here.

What's not to like? They have everything, even an animated dinosaur, giant rabbit, rock candy, great food in their restaurant, a large selection of cowboy hats and boots, and just about any souvenir you'd like to find! I used to hear about about Wall Drug on an early morning news show, and I had the opportunity to visit as we... More

Food ok but high prices. Stuff to look at neat but also high prices. Good luck getting out of the maze of stores with small ones

We stopped here since we had seen signs and all that good stuff. I can't say we were surprised but the place mostly sell the usual tourist stuff like t shirts and so on. We did get a few magnets but the store's selection is no different from the other stores in the neighborhood, or Rapid City. Still, I remember... More

Don't do it. This is a massive complex of food, drink and touristy trinkets and trash for purchase. If you have kids that you want to shovel candy into, then stop. Otherwise, keep driving.

After all the signs, we didn't know what to expect. It is a big place to stop and stretch your legs before going through the Badlands. The hours were not right, so we only got to spend 10 minutes the night before to step inside. (5:30 closing) After spending the night in town, we made it back the next AM... More

I have been visiting Wall Drug since I was a child and it is a place that holds a lot of memories for me. Its great. There is a restaurant and a bunch of gift shops as well as an area for kids in the courtyard. There is a stagecoach and a horse cart as well as a jackalope to... More

When we went to South Dakota to see Mt. Rushmore, we took an evening trip to Wall Drug. To really enjoy the trip, it pays to catch up on the kitschy history of the place so you feel part of the chain. Then, you have fun watching for the signs as you get closer. It's a bunch of giftshops basically,... More
