We made the stop at Wall Drug during a two week road trip. It was unbelievable. We spent two hours there, but could have spent double that. Wall Drug has food, gift shops, a pharmacy, a playground and animatronics! We wandered through the building, enjoying good food and 5 cent coffee, buying gifts, and running through the water attraction in... more

Wall Drug was more than expected once we stopped there for a break from the road. It was the perfect stop on a fantastic vacation! There are so many picture opportunities, free water, 5 cent coffee, fresh donuts, a diner style restaurant and a mall of shops. It is really a perfect "American Dream" type story. You had a pharmacist... more

What a fun break from seeing all the natural features of South Dakota. We had a ball inside Wall Drug, playing the music machine, taking photos and shopping. But the best part was the Caramel Pecan roll in the restaurant! It was the best we ever had in our lives! I wouldn't miss it when in South Dakota. We just... more

One Word: Tourist Trap - Saw signs on I90 399 miles away - Cool history to it but it has changed owners and it's a tourist trap now - IF you have children, it might be a better place to stop since they basically sell a lot of crap and a lot of kids toys and things. - 5 cent... more

We went to Wall Drug on our way home. It was our last stop on a 13 day road trip spanning 4000 miles. It was the perfect end for a fantastic vacation! There was something for everyone in our family to see, do and buy. There are so many picture opportunities, free water, 5 cent coffee, fresh donuts, a diner... more

just a corny tourist trap-- VERY crowded-- we stopped just for fun to get a 5 cent cup of coffee and fresh donut. We had the time and it was on our way. Otherwise, we would not have bothered. more

Wall Drug is a good leg stretch type stop. It's got a lot of neat shops and great photo opportunities that'll make you giggle to no end. Things aren't terribly overpriced and a lot is 'in fun'. We had a nice time wandering around after a long drive and got a lot of smiles. The people in the stores were... more

This is the largest gift shop I have ever visited in my life! They have so many souvenir choices that some of them are duplicated in other areas. Don't make a special trip just to visit Wall Drug, but if you are on I-90, stop in and have a look around. I was able to find my OTC allergy medicine... more

I have been out west several times and we always make it a point of stopping at Wall Drug. Is it a cheesy tourist trap? Well yes but its clean and family oriented. Everytime I stop I have to get my nickel coffee and look at the western artwork on display in the restaurant. If you can't find the right... more
