I have been here 3 times and still hope to visit more.....it certainly isn't a tourist trap..."hardly" while it has a lot of things tourists need....it is a historical visit....a mainstay for travelers, offering food, drink, atmosphere, wonderful shops with very unique gifts and lots of educational and fun stuff for kids....we found something for all 6 of the grand... If you visit South Dakota, you'll basically hear about Wall Drug pretty quickly. After all, large, quaint billboards advertise it for miles before you even get to the town of Wall. Wall Drug reminds me a little of a mall. It's like one big strip of shopping, divided into little separate, yet seemingly related stores. You can find plenty of... More

If you haven't driven Interstate 90, keep in mind it is a long and boring highway. There are not a lot of interesting places to stop between Rapid City and Mount Rushmore. Yes like a few of the ratings indicate, it might be considered a tourist trap. But it is one heck of a BIG tourist stop .. some might... More

Okay we're corn balls for this kind of stuff. But what an interesting place. We ended up staying 2 days. You can find something for everyone here.

We stopped at the town of Wall to visit wall drug on our way to the badlands. We travelled across the U.S. In an RV and thought we would have a quick look after seeing hundreds of signs advertising wall drug. We ended up being there for 3 hours!!! A must see in the Wild West. Great for the family... More

This has to be one of the most unique places you will ever see. The signs all along the highway as you get closer to Wall, South Dakota constantly pique your interest to the point that you have to stop and check it out. Places tom eat, shop and activities for the kids. Yes it`s a tourist trap in the... More

We were at Wall Drug a few days before Christmas and it was nearly deserted. Most everything was 25% off (Books-15%) which was a nice surprise. All the clerks, in each of the shops, were friendly and helpful. Sure, there are the cheap souvenirs, but there are some quality items, as well. There was a wonderful book shop where we... More

This is a huge tourist trap but it is so much fun!! The atmosphere is western themed and is fun and quirky. The $0.05 coffee is really good and the doughnuts are yummy!!

After seeing what seems like 1000 signs on your way to someplace else, taking a detour to Wall is worth it just to satisfy your curiosity. It's extremely kitschy and the free water is gross, but hey, at least you can stretch your legs and say you've been there, right? ;) TIP: The free bumper stickers are located just inside... More

After 5000 signs you have to see it right? Lots of goodies at various prices. I would suggest going in the off season like we did, nobody was around and we had the run of the place.
