Wife and I stopped on our way from keystone to medora. On tap during our end of August 2015 trip, they had a couple ales, an ipa, porter, and "bocktoberfest". I'll start by saying that when it comes to our flavour preferences, we definitely lean dark. IPA was definitely great. Awesome 2 punch combo on your senses with the floral... More

Excellent selection of craft beer made on the spot. Pile of Dirt Porter and Crow Peak IPA are usually available and can be found around the Black Hills. Canyon Cream Ale is good. Seasonal specialty beers available when they are available! No kitchen onsite - locally made pizza available - new BBQ spot going in across the parking lot -... More

Good selection of beer and ample room to sit and enjoy your drink. No food served onsite though... unless you happen to catch it on the right day (Tuesdays I think) when a local pizza place sets up shop outside with a portable pizza oven. Cold beer on tap and hot, fresh pizza right outside the door. If you don't... More

You find their beer at most of the local establishments in cans so we decided to stop in for a couple off the tap. They have a very good variety to satisfy most tastes. My favorite is the Pile O Dirt porter which is very smooth. There is plenty of indoor seating along with the bar. Also upstairs balcony and... More

We stopped on a Tuesday night when Black Hills Brick Oven Pizza was available. I wouldn't say the cream ale was a great, but it did go extremely well with all of the pizzas (and we ate five of them). The Porter was to die for and the IPA was very good as well. The rest the beers were okay... More

My favorite place in Spearfish and one of my favorite places in all of the Black Hills. The beer is made right there and they are very good. They offer several on a daily basis. You won't find much for food, I think they do serve a pizza or something, but I have never been there to eat. The atmosphere... More

My husband and I stopped here to check it out while we were staying in the hills. I read a lot of the reviews before heading out there so we didn't have high expectations going in. The beer was good but the bartender had no personality. He didn't want to chit chat or talk about the beers or the establishment.... More

Stopped in during a short vacation to try some beers. The website was very unclear if they had food, so we called and they said they have pizzas only. That wasn't what we were in the mood for, but someone else inside had ordered one, and they did look very good. Ordered a sampler of 5 beers. Most of them... More

I visited this brewery during Sturgis. With hundreds of thousands of people in town you would have thought there would be a few people there. There was one other couple besides my group of five people. The service was pathetic. I get that you don't serve tables, fine, I'm ok with that. I think it's a little sad though when... More

I wasn't all that impressed with Crow Peak Brewing Co. I'm more commenting on the establishment than their beer. It's new but has an unfinished open feel to it. Like we're all sitting in a garage. The dark beer I had was good (pile o dirt) but the lighter beer was very bland to me. We're all different I realize.... More
