What a great, beautiful byway this was! Be sure you stop at Roughlock Falls; You will see a sign posted as to where to turn. It is a short drive up; park and walk a short ways to see the upper fall; BE SURE to walk all the way to the bottom of the trail so you can see the... More

This scenic canyon is worth the 30 minute drive on any day, morning or afternoon when the light is just perfect. The canyon walls are rocky cliffs with trees and occasional waterfalls, especially after a thunderstorm. The river is beautiful and there are several public pullouts for access. Take your time and enjoy the drive...start in Deadwood and end in... More

If you like narrow canyons and a leisurely drive, don't miss this short adventure while in the Black Hills. There is an interesting vista around every corner and several scenic stops along the way. AND...don't miss Roughlock Falls, or you will really short-change yourself!!

The view was like one you would see in a magazine~but you were seeing it with your own eyes! Breathtaking! Bridal Veil Falls was very nice also.

Great drive with good views of rock formations. Road follows along a creek, with small rapids and swiftly moving waters. Be sure to stop at the Bridal Veil Falls lookout for a beautiful view. We were on the drive at very late afternoon, I would suggest going during the late morning or early afternoon to get the best views with... More

If you are in the blackhills area - take 2 to 3 hrs to do this 20-odd mile drive with 5 to 10 stops along the way. Its beautiful - DON't miss it. make sure to stop and see the 2 or 3 waterfalls (bridal veil, Spearfish & Gridlock?). Overall this will be time well spent and you wont regret... More

The Canyon is a beautiful way of entering Spearfish - take your time and take advantage of the scenic pull-offs. It sure beats arriving in Spearfish on I-90.

These views are awesome. It is an incredible ride on a motorcycle. If I was rich I would buy one of the many houses that were for sale & just let my friends & family use it year round. The Bridal Veil Waterfall was amazing. Even though it was raining the day we rode through there was still plenty to... More

We were travelling across country, and chose to take a short drive up Spearfish Canyon. We only drove for probably 5 miles, but the scenery was magnificent. Early on the drive we saw Bridal Veil Falls, and then stopped a mile or so further and put our feet in the water. It is wild, deep, cool and the birds were... More

The scenery is breathtaking! There are small waterfalls, creeks, and lovely rock formations. There was hardly any traffic when we drove through in the early evening.
