We visited in June and it was gorgeous. You'll want to stop repeatedly to take pictures and just soak in the views. Judging by all the bikers, this must be a local favorite place for bikers to tour. The mountains, the waterfalls...It's amazing and a must do if you're in the area.

On this road there are 3 waterfalls easily accessible to nearly everyone. The first one you can see from the road, Bridal Falls. You can park on the other side of the road and go on a deck like structure to get a better view. The other 2 falls have a boardwalk or paved area to see them better. There... More

This is by far a little Scenic Byway you will not want to miss. Great for all ages. Many places to stop and view the beauty. Nature at it's best. I drive the Canyon several times a year. My favorite place to be!!!

This is a must if you are in the area. The beautiful waterfalls and pull offs for picture taking is great.

If you like twisty roads, this is a must-do. We rode it in both directions on our Harley Ultra. Prefer the northbound direction but both are great.

Beautiful drive! Plenty of areas to stop off and hike! Creek is beautiful and many trails around the creek. Roughlock falls and bridal veil falls are beautiful!

This is a lovely drive winding its way up the canyon past some impressive gorges and pretty waterfalls. If you're in the area and have an hour or two to spare then head up the Spearfish Canyon.

We were staying in Spearfish and after spending time in Deadwood we decided to take the canyon route to our hotel. The canyon drive is beautiful and takes about 45 minutes from Deadwood.

Must see the three water falls along the way. Bridal Falls, behind the restaurant. Small path, over iron bridge. Lots of Mosquitoes!!! Spearfish Falls, on the road, just park and see it. Roughlock Falls, large parking lot on left, walk down. Wheelchair accessible. Well worth the drive!!!

It was my favorite scenic drive while we were in South Dakota. Ending at the Cheyenne Crossing (cafe) was the perfect ending. Beautiful!
