Have been in the Canyon many times and never tire of it. Take your time and stop to see all the scenery worth the trip every time.

There are several opportunities for hikes of varying difficulty and opportunities to view lovely waterfalls after short walks.

This Canyon is one of the best places to visit in the area.. Review is based on 2 adults, and 2 boys age 9 and 11.. The '76 trail in Savoy is a steep hike, but the Buzzard's Roost lookout at the top is wonderful. We also hiked to the Devil's Bath Tub.. not as steep, but challenging as you... More

Pretty drive along then Spearfish Creek. The creek was dry at the beginning g of the trip but as the drive continued the water appeared and it was a lovely tumbling, sparkly river. The Bridal Veil Falls was also very pretty, but I imagine would be much more spectacular when there is more water coming from the mountain.

We thought this was the most beautiful drive in the Black Hills...and we drove it in the rain!. The cliffs/canyons around the drive are striking, and the creek alongside much of the drive is lovely.

This drive was very scenic and follows Spearfish Creek with many spots to stop and take pictures. This is great for those who want to see beautiful natural areas without having to hike or even get out of the car. For those that do want to, there are many hiking trails in the area and are great for cooling off,... More

Spearfish Canyon is a must see when you are in the black hills. Be sure to get out of the car and check out the falls. It is a short, easy hike.

Good roads, wonderful views, and a trip to drive a car or motorcycle. A lot of curves and a lot of things to see. Any time we go to Spearfish we at least one way thru Spearfish canyon.

There are very steep canyon walls that mesmerize you . You want to have the camera ready coming around every corner. There are two magnificent water falls , Bridal Veil and Roughlock , Roughlock looks like something out of Oregon or in the south pacific. The rock cliff walls are so tall and the gorgeous pines are breath taking.

One of the prettiest drives in the Black Hills. We never miss doing this drive. Traffic was not bad, they have put in a good road with enough driveouts to take care of the traffic.
