I have been wanting to visit this area for years and we finally did it last week. There were waterfalls along the way, streams to see, resorts and campgrounds along the way. My husband and I always enough nature and outdoor types of vacations and I was not disappointed with this drive even if we did have some drizzles along... More

This drive was truly amazing! The falls were beautiful, and we took a gander up Eleventh Hour Gulch, which was such a surprise. I would recommend you to print or get a copy of a map of the drive, because the points of interests are not marked at all, so we had to guess if we were in the right... More

Coming from Illinois and reading what Frank Lloyd Wright said about Spearfish Canyon (he described it as more spectacular than the Grand Canyon), we decided to check this out. This was an incredibly beautiful drive. There are several pull-off areas so you can stop, get out of your car, and take in the scenery. Go slow and keep your eyes... More

the trip down the canyon from Spearfish to Savoy and then to Cheyenne Crossing is a most beautiful experience. Making th3e trip in the fall is even more pleasing. The three water falls Bridal veil, Roughlock and Spearfish are an absolute must. They are beautiful everyk season of hte year.

We enjoyed so much this beautiful drive in Spearfish Canyon. We found the waterfall areas were beautiful and easy to see. We saw people fishing and hiking. We did the drive a number of times as we were staying at Spearfish Canyon Lodge which is nice place to stay with beautiful views. The restaurant there is also very good.

This is just a beautiful drive. We went upstream from Spearfish and came back through Lead and Deadwood. It was late March so there wasn't any leaves out yet, but the creek was running nicely and the waterfalls were beautiful. I can't think of anything we disliked. It is not a fast trip (35 mph) so don't plan to rush.... More

Spearfish Canyon Parkway is worth the I-90 detour. There's A GREAT homespun restaurant at "the bottom" with terrific deserts.

It was just beautiful. They had several areas you could pull over to take pictures. If you are looking for a scenic drive with just alot of natural beauty, this is for you.
