Love the Canyon. Take several trips all year long. The Canyon is well worth the drive. I can never get enough of the seeing the beauty of the canyon and also watch the fly fishermen catch the fresh trout. Great family attractions. The waterfalls are breathtaking as well as the views!

My family has been vacationing in the Black Hills for decades. The drive through Spearfish Canyon is one of the reasons we return again and again. Spearfish Creek is a clear, cold, mountain creek that winds its way through the bottom of the canyon. Great trout fishing! Towering above are the limestone cliffs. White-tailed deer, elk, wild turkeys, kingfishers, hawks,... More

This is an easy and scenic drive that is a must-do if you are in the Black Hills. The road follows the Spearfish creek and at the bottom of a shear valley. There are a number of nice hikes and easy access to waterfalls.

We did a little loop from rapid city, lead, deadwood, sturgis, spearfish, lead, to hill city. The part from spearfish canyon road weaving through the steep canyons is worth the trip. It winds deep into the canyon before it drops you off at a few places to hike and then a few places to eat where the road branches back... More

Didnt expect this to be outstanding! As Coloradans we have happily grown accustomed to hiking the magnificent Rockies but this was equally spectacular. The trail from behind the Spearfish Lodge is a fairly easy jaunt through some gorgeous landscapes. Enjoy!

Scenic and historic roadway that at one time had a train before it was wiped out in a flood back in the 1930's. Just a good time on our way to see other sights/sites including Lead, Deadwood & Sturgis..

We were pleasantly surprised as to how easy it is to get to the canyon and view the beauty of it. We decided to go after dinner hour and maybe see a beautiful sunset later. It was not as crowded as we thought it would be considering it was 4th of July week. We were able to pull over in... More

Beautiful drive - a new gorgeous vista around every turn- - - and there are LOTS of turns!! Great way to see how it must have looked to earlier travelers and enjoy the views. Recent rains made the waterfall even more impressive. Loved it.

We stayed in Spearfish for the night. We went and seen the Spearfish Falls. The falls was very beautiful. Spearfish was a very peaceful place.
