Being from Nebraska, we know and appreciate Omaha's zoo but since we were in the area, we wanted to take in another zoo and we were pleasantly surprised! It's SO much more enjoyable simply because it is not of such a monstrous size! Sure, it wasn't as sparkly as others we've been to but it also wasn't as expensive. It... More

Visited here during our one day in Sioux Falls on our way to the Badlands and the Black Hills. Great smaller zoo. Very well kept, very well laid out on a nice piece of land. We were there right after the park opened, so we were able to see the morning feeding. Several species of birds and animals I hadn't... More

It was a nice smaller zoo. It was nicely spread out. And lots of places to sit down. Which was nice because I have a bad back. Nice gift shop too.

This is not one of the most exciting zoos you can go to. It is pretty small and I would not plan to spend more than a day there. We brought our two kids (4 and 7) and they had a decent time. There is a small area for kids to try to feed some farm animals through holes in... More

I took my family from out of town here. The Zoo is a lot bigger than it looks with a variety of animals. However, the animal enclosures were far too small with little to no enrichment activities. Many animals appeared distressed as they were pacing. I would not visit again as I felt the animals deserve better and there appeared... More

I've taken my young grandsons here a couple of times. The grounds are nice, with windy paths & enough shade to keep from roasting in the summer. The selection of animals to view is pretty disappointing, though. Also, there are a few places where the path leads a long way to... nowhere. Just a dead end. They could at least... More

Lots of animals to see. They were all visible which was nice. The train ride was very lacking. It's just a small ride and there were no animals to see except the giraffes along the way. It was very hard to understand what the interpreter was saying,

All personnel seemed to be very friendly. It was very clean except for the goose poop. We visited late in the day, so it was probably worse than earlier in the day. It was nice seeing different animals than at zoos where we have visited. Admission was very reasonable.

The sidewalks are completely covered in duck and goose poop. Not just a little but you can't walk without stepping in it. The train is a joke. It takes you out in an expansion area of grass and trees and you get to see maybe 2 animals through a hole in the fence during the whole ride. It had been... More

My wife and I met up with our friends and godson for an afternoon at the zoo. The weather was not as great as we would have wished for the zoo, but there were plenty of indoor spaces that we could warm up in as we made our way through the zoo. The Museum is aged, but the collection is... More
