beautiful, peaceful, spiritual

It was worth the stop. Some of us had seen it before, but others had not. As I said, beautiful, peaceful, spiritual.

I can see this church all the way from wild water west! And basically anywhere in Sioux Falls! There is a reason for that! This church is one of the best looking churches I have EVER seen! I myself don't go much and at first was a bit intimidated by it's size outside, but once inside, it's awesome! I recommend... More

Spectacular, beautiful- and yet peaceful and serene. This is a must-see site in Sioux Falls. The church dominates the landscape of the city- set on a hill overlooking town. Easy to find. We found plenty of parking in front of the building. So glad we went!

The church was renovated in 2012. All the interior was done over, cleaned up and repaired. Each Christmas they have "Christmas at the Cathedral" with wonderful music and singing. It is broadcast on TV nationwide. There are tours available to explain the different features in the church...a wonderful treasure!

I loved the ornate stained glass, painted ceilings, walls and pulpit. Absolutely breathtaking. The church feels like the Sistine chapel. Cannot believe such an amazing piece of architecture is located in the Midwest.

This cathedral was restored in 2012. Painters from Eastern Europe were selected to do the restoration. If you are here near Christmas, you are in for a treat. There is a 4-day "Christmas at the Cathedral" production which features a nationally-known tenor and soprano, portions of the South Dakota Symphony, and a professional choir that combine for a magnificent production.... Gorgeous Cathedral with many amazing architechtural details. Would have been even more interesting if we had arranged a tour to get more details and information .

When we were at Falls Park a lady on a bicycle stopped to talk to us and told us not to miss this and told us how to get here (she was a Benedictine Nun we learned during our conversation). I'm so glad she told us about this. So peaceful and what a beautiful Cathedral. Take a few minutes and... More

After a long and expensive renovation the Cathedral is a magnificent sight both outside and inside. I recommend attending one of the masses if possible. A majestic and solemn experience.
