We went in to see the butterfly house but were pleasantly surprised by the marine cove area. You pay one fee to see both areas. You can touch stingrays, starfish, etc. under the supervision of guides. The display cases have aquariums for tropical fish. The guide will provide excellent information on marine life. The butterfly house was just as good.... More

Passing through on our way to Mount Rushmore, perfect rest point. We went on a Friday, about lunch time. Was very quiet, although we did pass a daycare/summer camp group leaving as we went in. Enclosure was extremely humid and decently warm, recommended taking some cool water if you, like me, lean towards the fluffy side of the scale. Also:... More

We enjoyed a visit to this Marine/Butterfly exhibit. The volunteers were more than helpful and ready to talk about their wildlife. I was hoping for a butterfly landing on my shoulder, but no such luck!

There were some negative reviews on the Butterfly House - it's small, it's expensive, etc. - we found it to be quite enchanting! The variety of butterflies and number, were lovely. The plants were in bloom and there were butterfly feeding stations set up throughout the space. The koi made regular appearances too. We were in time to see the... More

We were a family of five and paid $35 (with AAA discount) to enter the facility. The aquarium was one room large but the kids could touch the creatures. They liked doing that and seeing all of the water life. The winning point here is the "touch" factor. The butterfly house was fun. It's a small greenhouse space - one... More

We attended the Butterfly House for my daughter's birthday. Frankly, I was expecting something for taking my family there for the occasion... boy, was I wrong. Not only did we receive not so much as a "Happy birthday!", we were charged extra, because on that day, she moved up an age class! I haven't gone back.... we won't go back...... More

Kids loved this place, especially getting to touch the sharks and stingrays. I thought the butterfly exhibit was really neat and the butterflies were really active. Vet kid friendly and interactive.

They bring butterflies in every week or so and it does not disappoint! Hands on with marine life was excellent! Very small place so it's a quick look see! Little pricey but worth it!

This is an educational, BUT FUN, excursion for the whole family! A nominal fee gets everyone into a world of nature with butterflies everywhere, birds and tropical plants providing the show! Kids love learning about the stages of a butterfly while they land on their noses, hands and clothes. There is a walkway through where you can take as much... More
