Falls Park is a pleasant surprise. The falls are very unusual and colorful! Lots of history around the area.

When you're in Sioux Falls SD you must see the Falls of the Big Sioux River. Granted their are much bigger rivers thru out America but you have to go to rugged terrain or mountains to find a Falls that has cut through a red quartzite as both beautiful and breathtaking as the water gushes and falls along its course... The Falls are always a great sight, what they lack in size is more than made up for by the granite outcroppings and the many walkways that showcase the unique geological features. The lighting of the falls at dusk gives the visitor a magical feeling with all of the colors of the rainbow! The visitors center and viewing tower add... More

This park is home to the falls in the Big Sioux River from which the city is named. The river flows through town in a "U" shape from northwest/central to northeast. There is a diversion channel (like a canal) for flood control across the top the the "U" which reduces the flow over the falls, but it's still nice. After... More

We went back to the falls twice during our stay in Sioux falls. We did get rained out the second time, but it didn't take away from the scenery, it may have actually accentuated it! We hope to go again someday. The wind picked up the foam, and it was fun to watch.

A must see in summer or winter. Beautiful waterfalls. Go in the Christmas season at night to see it all lit up.

Falls Park has been so nicely developed since the last time I was here! The walking trails were great and there was a ton of places for our 7 year old son to climb on the rocks and feel adventurous :) The falls are beautiful and there are several look out points and photo opportunities!

We had a couple of hours before our flight left, so we went to the Falls Park. So beautiful, the falls, the grounds, the walking paths. Lots of places to take nice pics. Kids loved this park and the falls - glad we went.

It's a historic landmark and a nice park for the area with a lot of history. Worth visiting. A gift shop and café on location.
