Reading other reviews, I was weary of the potential smell that would accompany this attraction. Heads up, as soon as I exited I-29 for the downtown area, a smell was apparent. Walking around the park, at a certain point, the smell became pungent. Mind you, this was at around 6 in the morning. At one point, I thought people probably... More

Any visitor to Sioux Falls will quickly recognize that the city has made an enormous effort to preserve its historical sites and maintain a very visitor-friendly environment. Falls Park in the downtown area provides a great glimpse at the city's history. The Sioux river played a central role in the initial founding and continued development of the town. Surrounded by... Falls Park in Sioux Falls is so nice. So glad we decided to make this town our overnite stop. The area of the falls was inhabited by the Indians since forever. Numerous falls cascade along the Big Sioux River. A lovely park and falls! We were thrilled to find that they have a trolley that you can ride for $1.... More

Great park to walk around and see falls, flowers and trees, learn history of the area, have a picnic. It's a great place to sit and relax and people watch. There is also a restaurant. Great place to observe the change of the seasons.

Falls in the middle of a city? Didn't think they would be much. Was I wrong! Amazing. Beautiful views. So peaceful. Great walks. Tons to see. And even has a cafe on the grounds that is fun and cute. Worth the trip!

We stopped here on our first day's drive from Iowa to Glacier National Park. This was a really pretty site. We walked around and stretched our legs for 30 minutes which gave us a nice chance to see the falls.

Its nice for a walk after eating and pretty, I'd say you have about 45 minutes to enjoy. Although there is a fair amount of garbage around the falls- a little disheartening to see.

This is a very pretty *Falls* and worth a look. The park has been nicely maintained and there is a restaurant on site, and also an observation tower. It was lovely, and not very crowded. Rained on the day we went. Midwestern weather always a challenge . . . When it stopped raining, it was pretty nice though, since everyone... More

Of course we knew Sioux Falls had "falls." But I was surprised by the extent of them. I could have spent all day watching them and the people of all ages who come there to play in the water.
