The falls was in great proximity to the hotel where I was staying on my way to Yellowstone. I was happy to have a nice stroll after driving over 13 hours and this was a perfect way to wind down for the day. The park was busy with visitors and locals alike, fishing, enjoying the falls and enjoying a late... More

It's worth spending an hour or so walking around the falls. There is a tower with an observation deck from which one can get a good view. There is an elevator and stairs in the tower.

We took our out of town daughter and grandchildren to 'view the lights' on Thanksgiving weekend. The lighting is spectacular - once again!

I've never been to Falls Park before and was amazed at the amount of lights and the beautiful scenery that they create. Driving through, you can tune in your radio to listen to Christmas music. Lots of nice walking trails and parking area. Definitely worth the time.

This a beautiful park to view in the evening during the Christmas season. There are trees and buildings lighted up, which is a beautiful sight to view. In addition, you view the skyline of the city in the background of the park. Most of the river is frozen, but there is still water running, which provides the right sound in... More

This park is beautiful and the Falls are really nice even in low water levels. There are numerous plaques and signs telling the history of the Falls. Take the time to read these, they are a wealth of information.

Most cities have to try pretty hard to add park space, greenways, and other non-urban areas within the city limits, but The Falls Park is a natural centerpiece for Sioux Falls. We've been in a lot of places with "Falls" or other geologic references as part of the name, but where those very elements have been obliterated by time or... More

The city has constantly improved the walkways, viewing points, and even streets to their namesake. There are activities at different seasons and times of the year. The whole family can wander around, enjoy a picnic, and even climb on some of the rocks. Stay clear of rushing water though.
