Lots to see and do. There is always an event going on at the square. Ice skating in the winter and fountains and concerts in the summer. Good food, awesome shops, interesting people. Little pricey.

We walked around downtown Rapid City. It has an old main street feel. It is very clean with lots of stores and a nice park for the kids to play in the water and places to sit and enjoy food and drink from the stores in the area.

A clean, vibrant walking city with places to sit and socialize on many corners - ----- When we visited, there was a festival in the downtown park with live music, food trucks and beer stands. There was lots of seating for those who didn't want to dance and children were allowed to play in the fountain - a real family... More

For a small city it has a great deal to do and things that are well done Clearly business people and city officials have been working hard to keep it vibrant. I like a school with a college and this one has a School of Mines, an Air Force Base, good attractions nearby, a great variety of shops and restaurants.

We were in town for orientation week at S.D.S.M&T and enjoyed many meals and shopping experiences downtown. There are a wide variety of independent restaurants and shops. We didn't have too much trouble finding parking near where we wanted to go although there is a parking garage (fee) nearby. Look forward to many years of trying different restaurants and shops.

We really love downtown Rapid City. It's a great walking town. From the statues of the presidents, to the great restaurants, alley art, stores, downtown festivals, city park. It's a nice place to take your kids too. Have an ice cream cone while watching the kids play on the squirting water at the park.

This is a remarkably clean and vibrant downtown. There are plenty of interesting shops and restaurants. Scattering statues of the presidents at various intersections was brilliant. Worth driving here for dinner, even if you're staying on the outskirts of town.

Worth the visit to see all the statues on the corner...very clean & beautiful. Where else can you go & see roller derby in downtown?
