The whole experience at Mount Rushmore was so much more involved than I was expecting. The huge viewing area across from the mountain is very peaceful and relaxing and offers an unparalleled view of the monument. What took me by surprise was the huge museum just under your feet. There were videos and rooms full of displays and more viewing... More

My wife and I took the tour and had a great time. The tour guide was excellent. We had a lot of historical information to provide and was able to make us chuckle most of the day. Yes the tour is 9 hours however the longest you are on the bus at any one time is no more than 30... More

We chose the package which included breakfast and dinner with a show at Ft. Hays. Including the 9-hour bus tour, we spent nearly 13 hours with them. After breakfast, we boarded an older 44 passenger tour bus which was clean and comfortable. Our driver/guide talked virtually non-stop throughout the trip, but he was very interesting and informative. His name was... More

I am not a "group tour" person. That being said, this trip was phenomenal! The bus was brand new and the seats were comfortable and allowed for privacy and a great view of the beautiful surroundings. The guide did a wonderful job making everyone feel welcome and part of a group that was going to have a great day together.... More

Overall, this is a terrific way to see many tourist attractions in the Black Hills area. We chose just the tour, no breakfast or show and it worked out well for us. My reason for four stars only: while I enjoy hearing history and background of places I visit, the tour guide literally talked non-stop the entire time we were... More

This was a nine hour tour. We started off at Fort Hayes with breakfast, which was included. We visited Mt. Rushmore, Custer State Park, Crazy Horse Monument, and many many other sites on the trip. The narrow tunnels and pigtail bridges are something to see and travel on. We stopped in Custer State Park for lunch and the lunch is... More

Our tour driver, Ken Updike was great! He had us laughing and learning interesting historical details about the area. We have lived in the area for over 10 years and we learned so much: little known facts about gold mining (in Lead and Deadwood) about the Native Americans who first lived here, the wildlife and of course, the carving of... One of the best tours ever! We would never had seen all the sights in the black hills if we didn't go on this tour. Matt was an amazing guide and driver. Part of the experience was watching how matt maneuvered around pigtail curves and narrow roads and even narrower tunnels with the big bus. Spend the money and take... More
