We traveled to Mt Rushmore early April and it was great. We were lucky the weather was sunny and mild. We got a nice surprise when we stopped at a pull out and caught this profile of President George Washington.

My brother, his wife and a friend loved the whole area! We did a road trip from Des Moines, IA, stop at Walls Drug, the Bad Lands it was fun, we were there during the biker round up it was awesome
We took this tour with Stagecoach West Tours and it made our short stay in Rapid City complete and perfect! The day started off with a Western style cookout breakfast and ended with a good Chuckwagon style dinner. In between the bus took us to Mount Rushmore, Needles Highway, etc. where we had plenty of time to see it all...

Having negotiated Needles hwy and Iron Mtn Rd numerous times my wife wanted me to be
able to see everything she gets to see so that is why we booked this tour.
Had read only good things about the tour itself but not so much about the Chuckwagon meals.
The tour was as enjoyable as other reviewers had reported and...

My wife booked this tour (including the breakfast and Chuckwagon dinner) because she had done a similar thing on an Alaskan cruise. I wasn't thrilled with all day on a bus; thought we could just pick and choose what to see but boy was I wrong. Had we done that, I would have been driving and would have seem mainly...

We had limited time in the Rapid City area and after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor, I made reservations for this tour. We had evening plans so skipped the dinner and show.
We had a wonderful day in every way. Lucky enough to have Matt Pates as our driver and guide, we learned countless interesting things about the history of...

I do not know how this could have been a better experience. We did not have the whole breakfast/dinner so cannot grade that but the scenic bus tour with these folks is the best way for an introduction to all the Black Hills sites. Our guide Matt was informative, funny, entertaining and provided an outstanding experience start to finish. Do...

We reserved our guided tour for August 31, 2012. Our tour included a “cowboy pancake” breakfast and a “Chuckwagon” supper and show!
The bus tour began after breakfast at Fort Hayes and lasted around nine hours. Our driver, Ken, was very personable, and talked continually about what sights were about, and some historical background.
We feel that this tour was...

We signed up for the tour which was absolutely worth ever penny. Visited Mt Rushmore, the Needles Highway, Crazy Horse, Custer State park, Sylvan Lake. We couldn't have asked for a better bus driver (tour guide) Dan was just the greatest, so knowledgeable, helpful, we saw so much more than if we would have struck out on our own. Then...

I read the mixed reviews before we went. I disagree with all negative comments made. The breakfast was great. I had fluffy pancakes and sausage. The dinner was great and so well organized. The driver was informative and took all the curves, hills and tunnels like the pro he is. I never would want to drive in those hills or...
