I was expecting a tourist trap, the kind of feeling you get after you spend too much money on arcade games and get nothing from it except kids who are cranky and unsatisfied because they didn't win anything. We go to The Black Hills Maze every other year when we visit family in South Dakota. So we have gone several times. We just went two days ago and this time it was just two hard! We went to the Black Hills last summer and the Maze was our 11 yr son's highlight. I didnt realize it would take so long getting through it- I think he had so much fun- he just kept getting turned around on purpose. I only wish there would be an observation tower for parents to watch from above - and... more

The maze is so fun! It's a labyrinth style maze (of wood) which you must travel through to get to their 4 towers - where you can stamp your card. There are exits to quit early but don't! It takes about 45 minutes to complete and it's tricky finding the right paths to go on and remembering which ones you've... more
