My husband, Martin, and I really, really enjoyed seeing Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse carvings. They are amazing. Our tour guide, Bev (with Affordable Adventures), was awesome. This is fun to learn just what resources are available in SD. If you want to feel a bit like a old miner you can pan for gold. They show you the process and how they weigh it and how much it is, but look out for that fool's gold.

We stopped here on our way to Mount Rushmore and took the 30 minute free tour. It was really cool, our guide took us to all the benches in the watch making process. Everyone was courteous and didn't mind us watching at each step. It was fun and educational. After the tour you are invited to look over their jewelry...
