It is a great place to visit, important to rent the audio tour. If not, you will not be connected to understand the history and how this monument was built. It was a great experince and specially for our 10 year daughter. She loved it and learned so much about history.

I have been here three times, and each time is more inspiring. Different learning to experience each visit. Next time, hike to the top.

If you have a patriotic bone in your body, a stop at Mt. Rushmore is a must do when visiting the Black Hills. I have had the opportunity to visit 3 times over the past 7 years and it doesn't get old. It would be impressive to see this done today, much less in the 1920s and 30s. An iconic... More

South Dakota's Mt. Rushmore is the site of Gutzon Borglum's epic sculpture. He literally carved the face of an entire mountain, creating the busts of 4 United States presidents: Washington, Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Lincoln! The likenesses are very recognizable and clear. The site is visible for miles. By approaching from the south, on a highway called The Needles Highway,... More

This site was on my bucket list and I was not disappointed. The carving was beautiful and I was in awe. The parking was only $11.00 and had a nice shady structure for the vehicle. Well worth the trip.

We went way in the morning. No cameras allowed, but they do have sale on necklace fir taking the tour. Interesting information on how Black Hills tri color jewelry is made and what makes authentic Black Hills Gold jewelry. Teen girls loved it!

went to the Black Hills Gold Factory. Very interesting. Saw how they make the many different things. The gold doesn't have to come from the Black Hills, It jewelry has to be made in the black hills to be called Black Hill .Saw the intricate work that goes into each piece. If you have time in the Black Hills this... More

This is 'a must see' attraction; the story and history is interesting & informative. The mountainous views are great. I highly recommend visiting the Presidential Monument. The Creativity-Energy -Effort -Detail expended on its completion is encouraging to anyone planning a project. Plan and make the visit.

This was the main reason we drove to South Dakota, to see Mt. Rushmore. It was more spectacular than I expected. We watched the short film which was very informative. It is a must see for everyone.
