We had a great time all day today, the driver was informational, funny and safety conscious. At the end of the tour it was my family and a retired military vet, RN, and the driver. The other couple and me were having a private conversation about being a bad time to be a police officer and not wanting our kids... More

Thank you for posting to Trip Advisor. We do appreciate your comments and will learn from them. There are subject matters that our driver/guide should not participate in when not invited into the conversation and politics is one of them. It is a good thing to have strong beliefs, but in this situation a driver/guide should hold their opinion to... More

We took the tour that included Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, 1880 Train, and Iron Mountain Road through Custer National Park. Trisha was great. We had plenty of time for all the attractions. It was well worth the money.

I like going on tours because someone else is doing the driving. This trip it was never more appreciated. Trisha was awesome...she had great commentary through out the trip. The Iron Mountain Road switchbacks were more difficult because of road construction and she handled it beautifully. Highly recommend this tour as you see the main attractions in the area.

Thank you for submitting a review of Gray Line's Mt. Rushmore & More Tour! Have to admit the construction in Custer State Park/Iron Mountain Road has had some challenges and our driver's have had their concerns on given days on delays and such. But the outcome will be worth it to drive on. Great to hear that Trisha did a... More

Great, lots to see, hop on hop off kind of day trip. Trisha was the best, from the pick up early in the morning to the drop off around 6pm. I normally don't like tour guides but it felt effortless from her part, more like a chat with a local dweller who's sharing a ride with you. Thumbs up!

Although we had a vehicle, we decided to take this bus tour for the day. It was worth every penny. Our driver Bruce was pleasant, he spoke clearly, he provided clear narrations of the areas we were passing through and the history of the areas. The tour visited all the important sites (Shrine of Democracy at Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse... More

Thank you for submitting your tour experience with Gray Line of the Black Hills! It is worth taking a tour - experienced driver giving you a narrative of the area and the ease of not having to keep your eyes on the road and missing the scenery along the way especially in Custer State Park with Iron Mountain Road. We decided to take a bus tour with Gray Line because their tour offered 98 percent of sites we wanted to visit. We were picked up exactly on time at our hotel.by our tour guide ,Trisha. She was entertaining, knowledgable and added little facts, not usually printed in guidebooks. We had previously planned on driving ourselves, but decided to take... More

We contracted with Grayline to shuttle a group of 56 people through the Needles Highway, the Iron Mountain Rd...places our full size tour bus could not go. Unfortunately, they decided to "sub-contract" the job to someone else without asking or telling us. We were put on an old, less than comfortable bus and taken where we wanted to go...but without... Hello AlumniSteve, It is good to hear from you on your experience with our subcontracted local charter company and van with driver and informative commentary. I am happy to hear that the driver did a fine job of driving you along the narrow roads of Needles Highway and Iron Mountain Road. It was certainly a plan to use a Gray... More

We took the Mount Rushmore and More trip with Gray Line Tours. We knew we with good people from the start. We decided fairly late in the day to join the tour and contacted the company by email with our request. We heard back from Shana even as our communications were well after office hours! We took the first tour of the season with Gray Line. We arrived at Mt. Rushmore to find that it was completely fogged in. Our driver, Jerry extended our tour at the end of our scheduled 8 hours and returned us to Mt. Rushmore at the end of the day for a clear view and photo ops. The Crazy Horse... More

Thank you for submitting your tour experience with Gray Line of the Black Hills and Jerry. Sometimes Mother Nature does not want to work with us, but we try a second time for Mt. We signed up for the Gray Line Tours and were very pleased. We had a great driver, John. He was very knowledgeable and had a good sense of humor. We had a great day with him as our driver and learned a lot. I'd highly recommend this tour....Hopefully you get John as your driver.
