This is a place to experience God through an authentic biblical encounter. I found it moving and challenging--especially good for children of elementary school age.

Responding to the "Dirty and Scary" comment... we found the attraction to be tidy and saw a lot of kids playing too. Some of the items are older but they are timeless. In our opinion, this is meant to be an engaging experience. Being our first visit, the owner was very friendly. If you are also interested in the history... More

Stopped at Valiroty on my back home from the National Parks out west. My son and I enjoyed our time and the amazing expertise from Ianchu. He challenged me on my Bible knowledge and since has inspired me to continue to understand the Bible much deeper. My young son loved the play area and also appreciates the knowledge he obtained... Valtiroty is a place for children and adults alike. It is not dark, scary or dirty as described in another review. My family frequently visits this attraction and we learn something new each time we are there. The owners are charming and love to share their extensive knowledge of the Bible. They have put their hearts and souls into recreating... More

While traveling across country, my family and I stopped in Mitchell to visit the Corn Palace. As we visited the surrounding shops, my husband was drawn to visit Valtiroty. He was amazed at the beauty of the displays that brought the events of the Bible to life. The owners were very knowledgeable and extremely friendly people. My husband enjoyed his... More

This is a free attraction but is very dark and scary for children. Random gifts for sale that are dirty and very odd. Wish this old doll museum was not something worth seeing.

While we were discovering all the shops in Mitchell were closed for the day we came across this location. It was very different and interesting. our 12 and 8 yr old loved running around in the play area. This place is completely set up for children as well as an educational experience about the Bible. I wouldn't typically stop at... More

We just stopped by while passing through from northern MN to the Black Hills. I had learned about this place ahead of time (on Tripadvisor) and it lived up to its reputation. Wonderful life size reproductions and such a selection of gifts! The owner was so very pleasant and really seemed to love his "job"! I would definitely go back... More

This was a fantastic find on our trip out of the Corn Palace. Even those in our group who were underwhelmed by the Corn Palace thought this place was awesome. If you just approach it as a gift shop, you are really missing an opportunity. Upon entering go to you right and enter another world. The grandgirls (4&6) were fascinated... More
