This was the best trail ride that my family has been on yet! Andy was our personal guide and was very patient with the kids and gave great riding tips while on the rugged trails!!! We were allowed to run the horses and were encouraged to let them jump over logs! Not your typical horses in a line trail ride!... More

My son and I did a two-hour ride with Andy. The horses were easy-going, the scenery was breathtaking and Andy was a great guide. If we are ever in the area again we are sure to come back.

My family and I (wife, 5 daughters ages 10-20, a boy friend and sister-in-law) had a wonderful ride. Thank you Andy, Melissa and Alex! Not the typical "nose to butt" trail ride. An adventure with many bridge and water crossings with Andy pointing out points of historical interest on the way. We had a ball !!! You don't have to... More

We enjoyed our ride....guides were super nice and helpful. Barn boss needs to dial down the attitude....grumpasaurous. Trail needed to have some trees trimmed and rocks thrown off and weeds treated.

My family and I made our first visit to South Dakota this past August. We knew we wanted to horse back ride as one of our activities but didn't know where until we researched online and found Andy. As soon as I read about Andy I knew that was the place. We arrived at Andy's Trail Rides the day of... More

Stopped in Lead while passing through and went on a trail ride with Andy and Alice. The group consisted of 5 riders who were mostly very inexperienced. They were able to incorporate different levels of riding and lessons to all of us and calm the fears of one little girl. Andy taught me to lope! Which was huge for me.... More

Two of my girls (wife is one) are seasoned riders, and my youngest and I have ridden before. Our guides were very engaging and personable, and they took us on a beautiful ride. They knew the area and kept us all in sync and together, and it in no way felt like a typical trail ride. Lots of fun!

We ride anytime we vacation where the trek is more than a trot around a flat trail. This place is one of the best we have seen. Great guides, awesome animals and a view worth taking pictures anywhere you turn. Do yourself a favor and find the %-off coupons in the local attractions flier, and then don't forget them in... The ride was great. The weather was good and our trip was full of adventure. Andy told us about the building we started in, used by the mining operation. The ride was the best we ever had and we ride every time we are in any mountains. Thanks Andy and we will see you again!
