Beautiful setting. Plenty of spots to just walk up & start your tasting. I was intimidated since I had never done. But Jodie was full of interesting stories about owners & had so many helpful tips. We bought many bottles & then enjoyed a glass on outdoor patio.

We have visited Prairie Berry Winery many times in recent years. Initially, it was a small, local place with mediocre wines. Today, it's a beautiful destination place with decent wines and great wine tasting. The food was exceptionally good, fresh and attractively presented. I can't wait to go back.

Love the 5 free tastings whether you like the wines or not! I found some I really liked and others I did not. Great staff. Had lunch. I had a superb Grilled cheese. Several different cheeses on it. Husband had the turkey sandwich and said it was very good. Very nice stop in the hills

This place is very nice. It is located just outside of Hill City in the middle of the Black Hills. Their wine is very good, and they have and excellent free tasting experience! May be a bit pricey for average wine but is worth the experience for sure!

Kids and adults enjoyed our lunch at the winery, and while the wines weren't our all time favorites, it was fun to try them. Order food at the counter and then find a table inside or outside.

We stopped for lunch, but enjoyed the wine tasting, too. I think we were able to choose from 5 different wines. I liked a couple, but was glad to have tried the others. The young man was knowledgeable. Lunch was good, fresh food, but not inexpensive. A bowl of soup was $7. Sandwiches were $12. Nice little change of pace... More

We booked the winery's event center, "The Homestead" for my mother's 60th birthday party. I cannot say enough good things about our experience there. I worked with Colby Smith their "Lead Events Associate" and was so impressed with her. She was personable and so willing to help. I was a more laid back planner and she really matched my energy,... Prairie Berry Winery is a nice little winery with small batch wines. Their Red A$$ Rhubarb is a very tasty, tart wine. They offer free wine tasting (up to five wines). For our budget, they are a little expansive, but they are such high quality wines they are worth getting a few bottles. They even have a small area set... More

My wife has wanted to go here for years but we never had the time until now. We did not do the tasting since it was quite early and all would have tasted like Crest and coffee. We did buy several different bottles of wine to take with us and the ones we have tried are very good. The staff... More
