My sister lives in Custer, SD and every time I come to visit I make her take me to Prairie Berry. I have fallen in love with the wines, the food, and the friendly staff. I have belonged to the Generation 5 Wine Club since 2012 and have enjoyed many great bottles of their wine. The fall is never complete... More

If you are in the area and don't stop you are cheating yourself. There wasn't anything I didn't like about this place. Very enjoyable experience. Excellent food, Great variety of wines, very friendly staff. Ended up ordering a case of different wines to send home. Free shipping on a case.

Not all wines with cute labels are good. Sometimes it really is all about the label. But Prairie Berry is making some good wines to go along with the cute labels. 5 free tastings are more than enough to let you know that a bottle should find it's way home with you. Nice wine tasting section and informed help.

If you are traveling to the Black Hills you really must visit this place. The wine tasting is enjoyable and the wines are fabulous. I especially love the Rhubarb wine. My friends demand that I bring them some back every time I go here. Note, they will ship for you, and airlines allow 6 bottles in checked bags! The food... More

We found this on our way to Hill City from Rapid City. Nice wines. Great taste testing area. We bought the Lawrence Elk wine. There is a brewery next door where you can get a beer. Had a great time talking to the bartender and some locals. Definitely come here if you are in the area

We loved tasting the wines. The employees & menus are very informative & helpful. The souvenirs are neat (loved the shirts) and I left with a bottle!

I first encountered Prairie Berry years ago when I had some of their Pheasant Reserve at the Pheasant Dinning Room of the State Game Lodge in Custer State Park. I was a bit apprehensive, but intrigued, by the idea of a wine made with chokecherries. Well, I loved it and decided to visit the winery. I was delighted by their... More

Did the wine tasting there during Sturgis 2015 motorcycle rally! Been there before, my wife loves the RedA$$ Rhubarb wine! Staff is very friendly, prices are reasonable. If you order at least a case of wine, the winery will ship it (everything above and beyond the case too) for free. Only catch, they wait till the temps are below 80... More
