This was our first foray into outdoor climbing and we could not have been more pleased. Daryl could not have been more helpful and he really made sure we got what we wanted out of the experience. We learned a lot and can't wait to come back.

During our family trip to the Black Hills, we booked the 3 day Devils Tower blitz for the family members who climbed before (our 11, 13, and 16 year old plus dad) and the 2 days with a guide for the ones with very little experience (mom and our 9 year old). Everyone loved it and had the best time!... More

I called last minute (the night before) and was able to get out early that very next morning with Cheyenne. He did a great job and was very patient in re-introducing me to climbing. Thanks for the awesome day, I will definitely bring my son back when he's old enough! Lauren

Called short notice and the team was able to accommodate a group of 7, with 5 kids ranging between the ages of 7 - 13 and two adults. We did the 4 hour experience, which was perfect for us. Darrell and Reggie were great instructors. Hands down was the favorite activity of the trip. Truly gets you out of the... More

Having never rock climbed before in our lives, we decided us native Floridians should give it a go. We took a few indoor classes (knowing it would be different but testing my fear of heights) and decided to go for the 8 hour day. The owner told us possibly six was plenty but seeing as how the price difference was... More

We decided to take a trip to Mt Rushmore and I (51) wanted to add a little adventure to the trip. My son (22) and his girlfriend (20) agreed to go rock climbing with me. WOW, we have been skydiving and cage diving with Great White Sharks and this ranks right up there with regard to a thrilling experience. Tony... More

This was my first trip to SD and I had heard there was amazing climbing in the Black Hills but I had no idea! There is something for everyone here, from novices to experts. I would rate myself a moderately experienced climber and had the best time ever, equal parts enjoyable and challenging. Sylvan hooked us up with a terrific... More

We were staying at Sylvan Lake for a family reunion. Sylvan Rocks took ten of us out climbing in their Discover Climbing class. We all had various ability levels from novice to expert. It was really fun for everyone, though. We got to be on the rocks climbing for the majority of the class. The guides are really knowledgeable and... More

We just got home from our first visit to SD and the Black Hills. We wanted to try climbing with our 3 boys ages 10, 7, and 5. Each of them LOVED it and can't wait to go back. Daryl and Lindsay were amazing with my kids. They were great teachers and so patient with the kids. This is something... More

While visiting SD from GA, my youngest child (7) wanted to climb every rock in sight! Made me SOOO nervous. I saw their trailer at Sylvan Lake, heard a hiker with nothing but rave reviews about the company, so decided to try it. This was a highlight of our 2 week trip for both boys (7 and 9). Very well...
