While we were in the Black Hills, we wanted to give our kids a unique experience. After driving the Needles Highway, we thought that rock climbing might be a lot of fun. My husband and I took our three kids rock climbing for the first time. They are 6,9, and 11. Our guide, Tony, did an amazing job making us... More

We recently returned from a week of camping in Custer State Park. We spend one morning climbing with Sylvan Rocks. It was a great experience and I would highly recommend it. Request Jeff and Lindsey if you can. They were a lot of fun and great with kids. They were very encouraging and very safety conscious. My daughter is 10... More

Great guides (Daryl, Taylor, Jeff Llewellyn) took our family, age 5 to 65, on a great morning of rock climbing. Full instruction and great encouragement. Nothing to fear. These guys will get everybody on the rock and in most cases to the top. Great fun had by all. Worth every penny. Don't hesitate to sign up!!!

This is our third time climbing with Daryl and his friendly, supremely competent guides. This time, Cheyenne took us to the top of Spire 4, completing a family goal set back in 2008 when Chris guided us up Spire 2. Our first climb was with Daryl himself and although we were initially disappointed we would not get to climb with... More

Ok I booked this not knowing what to expect- it turned out to be the hardest, most exhilirating, and exciting thing I've done on any of my travels! Regardless of my inexperience Daryl made me feel good and safe about what I was doing- case in point if Daryl reads this and remembers my 'tarzan' swing off the final climb... More

This was one of the best days our family has ever had together. Our guide, Chris, was fantastic - experienced, patient, kind, and a great coach. Our family had only climbed indoors previously with the exception of our 13 year old daughter who has some experience on rock. Chris got us all comfortable and we worked our way up to... More

My husband, 24 year old son and I climbed Devils Tower with Cheyenne as our guide. Darryl at Sylvan Rocks set up our climb. Our B&B host at Devils Tower Lodge said Cheyenee was the best guide around for DT, and I thought he was exaggerating, but after climbing with him, I can't imagine having a better guide. Excellent equipment,... More
