My mother was very pleased with First Gold because it had may of the games she prefers to play. I also had a good time as there were plenty of games both familiar and new. Very nice casino.

First Gold Hotel is a great place to gamble, eat a buffet and stay in a large, clean room. Be sure to try their Prime Rib which is served every evening. All of their employees are very friendly. We enjoy talking to Jim, Rick, Leslie, Shendra to name a few. As a visitor from Milwaukee, it's nice to have people... More

The room met our requirements; clean and quiet. Hotel was convenient to trolley stop. We were in building #3 which meant it was a bit of an uphill walk back from the buffet in building #1. There is golf cart transportation available if you ask for it though. We are not gamers and were visiting Deadwood for the historical aspect.... More

They had a good breakfast and dinner buffet and a late night deli in case you missed dinner or have the munchies. The deli's taco salad was excellent, my husband really enjoyed that but I got a BLT which left me feeling there should have been more than 2 small slices of bacon. They also didn't put any mayo on... I stayed here last year, so knew of the $2 Blackjack on offer. The dealers are experienced, the banter at the table is fun and the free drinks are available as you play without hassle. I didn't stay here this year because we booked late and they were full, but we did come back for fun and cheap gambling.

I love love love the First Gold!! They have an EXCELLENT wait staff who are prompt and keep the drinks flowing! I like getting lost in the maze of slot machines!!! there buffet is pretty decent and reasonably priced! They don't however have many table games which is there only downfall!

Great Location, right in the center of Deadwood. Rooms are very clean and restful. The beds are heavenly to sleep on. One downside is that there are no small refrigerators in the rooms. That wouldn't be so bad if there were ice machines on every floor, but there are not. You have to a take the elevator down to the... More
