They had a good breakfast and dinner buffet and a late night deli in case you missed dinner or have the munchies. The deli's taco salad was excellent, my husband really enjoyed that but I got a BLT which left me feeling there should have been more than 2 small slices of bacon. They also didn't put any mayo on... I stayed here last year, so knew of the $2 Blackjack on offer. The dealers are experienced, the banter at the table is fun and the free drinks are available as you play without hassle. I didn't stay here this year because we booked late and they were full, but we did come back for fun and cheap gambling.

This is 1/2 block off Main Street Deadwood. All employees very pleasant and professional. Rooms tastefully decorated and quiet.

I love love love the First Gold!! They have an EXCELLENT wait staff who are prompt and keep the drinks flowing! I like getting lost in the maze of slot machines!!! there buffet is pretty decent and reasonably priced! They don't however have many table games which is there only downfall!

Great Location, right in the center of Deadwood. Rooms are very clean and restful. The beds are heavenly to sleep on. One downside is that there are no small refrigerators in the rooms. That wouldn't be so bad if there were ice machines on every floor, but there are not. You have to a take the elevator down to the... More

Although our rooms were good and well-maintained, the inability to easily connect to the internet and stay connected would keep us from staying here in the future. The chairs in our room were not comfortable - kind of like a kitchen chair, not a good sit-and-read chair. The room was equipped with a refrigerator which was a very nice feature.... More

Nice place- pretty good casino, I would stay in the main hotel if you can-otherwise you have to walk or take a shuttle to the main part of the hotel. Buffet is good- but the prime rib is excellent! The trolley stops close by and you can hit the rest of deadwood from there. I also like the hotels proximity... More

The blackjack tables were awesome with $2 & $5 minimum bets. Next door was $10 & $25. The buffet was a buffet, sorry but I just hate them all. The prime rib was OK, the crab legs were very dry. the rest of the food was buffet food. I was starving or would have went elsewhere. While eating they were... More
