So nice to take the risk and WALK UP THOSE STAIRS! What we found at the top of the stairs was a bar -- separated from the hubbub of all the other bars in town that have turned into merely extensions of casinos! The Midnight Star offered a traditional bar with ambiance AND the added plus is all the memorabilia... More

We enjoyed lunch at the 2nd floor restaurant owned by Kevin Costner. There are lots of his original costumes and photos of his various movies on the walls. Food was good and reasonably priced.

I wanted to visit this one just because of Kevin Costner. Always been one of my favorites. It's small but very beautiful inside. I especially loved the bar and all the movie photos displayed on the walls.

We had a fun time at The Midnight Star in Deadwood. We were there during Wild Bill Hickock Days. First, we enjoyed seeing the Kevin Costner items. We had dinner at Jake's. We then stopped to play a bit after dinner! I enjoyed playing and won enough to "pay for dinner" plus some spending money for the next day. So... More

We didn't eat the food or gamble, but we wandered around the three levels of this place to see all the Kevin Costner memorabilia. And there is a lot to see! We love Kevin Costner, so it was a real treat for me and my family. Some may whine that he "doesn't need more money," but Kevin obviously did a... More

Really Kevin Costner trying to make money in Deadwood? Doesn't he have enough money? Food wasn't good, gambling wasn't neither. What more needs to be said?

We didn't actually eat here so cannot vouch for the food but we did look around and it is neat to see all the Kevin Costner costumes.

We found the Midnight Star to be very interesting with so many of Kevin Costner's outfits, movie posters and pictures. We spent a lot of time there and were surprised how many movies Costner starred in. It would have only been better if he had been there in person!

All the basics done very well! Fast friendly service, got what we ordered, on time and hot. The waitress, Kahli, was very good, and attentive. Burgers were good, but overcooked and the buffalo chips, were hot and very tasty I had a Pablano burger... the Pablano was delicious! The Kevin Costner memorabilia was fun and created a great ambviance... but..burgers were... More

If you're a Kevin Costner fan, then this is a place you don't want to pass up. I didn't realize just how many movies he was involved in. There are costumes, movie posters, and other movie props on display throughout the casino. It was clean and the restrooms were well kept.
