By far the most beautiful place to visit in Brookings! And the ideal location for an outdoor wedding! Our friends and family absolutely loved the unique garden experience! The garden was full of amazing, vibrant flowers with many shady spots to sit and enjoy the surrounding scenery. The McCrory employees work very hard to keep the entire facility looking beautiful!!

I used to visit McCory Gardens a lot in the past and also did several photos of the kids as they were growing up. I went to visit this last spring but found out they now charge to get in..........in my opinion this is very stupid as gardens should be free for people to enjoy but this is typical of... More

Most of the gardens were beautiful but I couldn't help but notice the number and size of the weeds. The area of the gardens is large and the plants were beautiful. The gardens are separated by trees and shrubs...making them like garden rooms. Lots of photo opportunities!!! But....again....the weeds....

We strolled through all the smaller gardens and around each corner was another delight. Many of the flowers were in their last bloom but the gladioli were in full glory and over four feet tall. The signs helped identify unfamiliar flowers. They used imagination and a fresh approach to color in many of the annual beds. The entire experience was... More

Whenever we travel (and wherever), we like to find botanical gardens to visit. On our way back from Custer State Park to Chicago, we decided to stop in Brookings to see McCrory Gardens, and we found it to be utterly delightful and very beautiful.

Visiting the gardens was part of our SouthDatoka trip. We were greeted by a student from South Dakota University. I was glad to see that the different botanicals where label. It was a hot day..so we didn't make it to all garden areas. Loved the cottage garden area and the use of succulents in containers. As seniors we paid $4... More

What a beautiful place to walk through and enjoy nature. The staff was friendly and the park was beautiful. Brookings is lucky to have a wonderful place right in the city. There was a small charge but did not mind paying that at all.

Late July in South Dakota can be brutal for flowers, but the beds were in terrific shape and I picked an incredible evening and there were few mosquitoes, other I have spoken to have not always been so lucky! I will definitely be back!

Beautiful, gardens are well taken care of, many annuals and plants were well labeled so we could identify new plants. Lots of benches to sit and rest
