We stopped after seeing it listed on our map. Needed a place to camp for one night and it was close to I-95. A small state park. Bath house was very clean, park was very clean. It was ok until we went to sleep. Then we hear a large truck drive by our campsite spraying insecticide. There was no signs... More

We didn't have a weekend camping trip planned for June, so I thought somewhere fairly close to home would be a convenient "spur of the moment" choice for us. There were multiple sites open at this state park that sounded suitable for our mid-size trailer, so I picked one and off we drove a few days later. We ended up... More

We spent 5 days here so we could do a "shake down " trip. The weather was too cold and rainy to fish or go down the Edisto river. This is a small park and a good place to pull off I 95. Not much else here.

Excellent experience. Smaller park, but there was a play area for children, picnic area and volleyball area. The bathroom facilities were superb. They were cleaned daily and were kept clean throughout the day. The campsites themselves were clean and neatly arranged. Some of the tent and tent/camper sites sat a little close to the road so there was some road... More

We stopped by here when driving back from Tennessee to Florida. This was a great half way point and was right off of I-95. We were traveling with our 150 lb dog so we wanted a place we could get out and do a bit of walking. We traveled in January so there weren't many people here. The Park Rangers... More

We took a daytrip to this park on a sunny November day. We looked at the campsites for a possible camping trip down the road, and really liked the RV sites - they were all in a beautiful setting with plenty of space between sites to give some measure of privacy. All sites had fire pits with grills and were... More

I frequently went here as a teen and in my early 20s. We'd go for day trips, floating and camping. Absolutely loved this place then and still do - its looks haven't changed! It has beautiful scenery, we've never had any issues with anyone here and lots to do between the trails and the water itself. Look forward to bringing... More

We have camped at many state parks in South Carolina, and I'll have to list this as one of my favorites. It was very uncrowded even during high season. We kayaked on the Edisto River and saw amazing scenery. At night, in the campgrounded we could hear owls calling each other across the forest. The ranger there was extremely helpful... More
