We took a daytrip to this park on a sunny November day. We looked at the campsites for a possible camping trip down the road, and really liked the RV sites - they were all in a beautiful setting with plenty of space between sites to give some measure of privacy. All sites had fire pits with grills and were... More

I frequently went here as a teen and in my early 20s. We'd go for day trips, floating and camping. Absolutely loved this place then and still do - its looks haven't changed! It has beautiful scenery, we've never had any issues with anyone here and lots to do between the trails and the water itself. Look forward to bringing... More

We have camped at many state parks in South Carolina, and I'll have to list this as one of my favorites. It was very uncrowded even during high season. We kayaked on the Edisto River and saw amazing scenery. At night, in the campgrounded we could hear owls calling each other across the forest. The ranger there was extremely helpful... More

Cute, small park. Mostly for campers. Nice facilities and a very short walk to a river view (see posted photos).

This park isn't very big, however there is a nice picnic area, an area to go down to the Edisto River and a camping area. We had a group picnic here and spent the afternoon hiking and exploring the park.

I stayed at the park for one night and overall was pleased. It is a small park that is well maintained with plenty of space between the sites. There are several peaceful places to find quiet time and enjoy the view. Restrooms are clean and provide full services. The ranger and staff member were both excellent! My only disappointment was... We had three sites for the weekend. Two had pop-ups and one with a tent. Campground host here is keep the area very clean - restrooms, swept the sidewalks near the restrooms, etc. The gate is locked at night but they give you the code. We will return here. Site# 4 is very difficult to back into - due to... More

The Park Ranger and the crew with the Canoe & Kayak Commission are the best people in the world. If you have never gone down this river than you have to hook up with them. The whole weekend, which is an annual event in early June, is a blast. I have done it for four years. You are safe, having... More
