Firefly Distillery is South Carolina's first and largest distillery...

Firefly Distillery is South Carolina's first and largest distillery. Firefly Distillery is home to Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka, the original sweet tea vodka, and many more southern specialties. Current product lines include vodkas, rums, bourbon, liqueurs, and moonshines. Guests are welcome Tue-Sat 11am-5pm for tastings, closed January. Feel free to bring your own lunch and have a picnic on our grounds, perhaps after enjoying a wine tasting from Irvin~House Vineyards which is located on the same property. Every Saturday the distillery hosts Sippin' Saturdays with live music and tasty local food for sale. Come taste the South and enjoy a casual laid back atmosphere!

I previously visited this place last year about the same time but on a Saturday. It was busy at that time and we waited at the door for an open tasting spot. Someone was at the door giving us instructions and talking about the process. This visit was on a Friday afternoon, not quite so busy. There were only two... More

Had a great time here, doing both their winery and distillery tastings! Their wines are really good - a LOT better than people would have you believe! They are NOT overly sweet- very tasty, and I bought several bottles! I also enjoyed tasting at their distillery, and bought their Sweet Tea Whiskey, which is made with tea from the local... More

Fun way to spend an hour or so when was visiting charleston. did both the wine and spirit tasting which were both reasonably priced. Both women that talked us through the various drinks were fun and we had a good laugh. The booze was tasty too!

The Firefly Distillery is off the beaten path; however, we totally enjoyed our experience. Of course, they provided tastings of their superior products and included a souvenir glass. The area was very scenic and included both a vineyard and a vodka distillery. My only disappointment was we did not receive an explanation regarding how the products were produced nor was... More

My wife and I visited Firefly Distillery as part of our visit to the winery next door (Irvin House Vineyards). The distillery tasting was actually a lot more interesting and memorable than the wine tasting next door (see my separate review for Irvin House Vineyards). The bar inside the Firefly tasting room was full, so we had to wait outside... More

Stopped in here after visiting the Charleston Tea Plantation, and then found out that Firefly only uses the tea made at the plantation in their vodka/tea flavors-- pretty cool to have 2 'local' businesses in partnership. A tasting is only $6 and includes 6 choices to taste. Wanda, the tasting guide is a lot of fun and is enthusiastic about... More

The Firefly distillery and attached winery is a great place to stop. The scenery is beautiful, the liquor is also great. For the admission price you get to sample 5 or 6 different kinds of liquor (it will be hard deciding on which ones with flavors like apple, caramel, chocolate pecan, peach, etc), and you also get to keep the... Not worth the drive. We anticipated a fun afternoon from all we had heard about the distillery and the adjacent winery. I am giving them a poor rating, rather than terrible, because we had good reviews from reliable friends. And there was a tour bus of old folks there the day we visited which was keeping the staff pretty well... More
