While this place is definitely far from downtown charleston, it was a fun stop. The wine tasting is cheap but I would have liked a more personal experience rather than just watching a movie with a group of people. The wine is good though and inexpensive!

This a great little trip off the beaten path to take while in Charleston. It's a very small and cute distillery and vineyard that takes about 30 minutes to get to from downtown. I loved that my friend and I could go and visit and enjoyed everything there was to do and it didn't eat up an entire day. I... More

When we went the making and bottling place wasn't open because it was after the harvesting season. We did do a wine tasting though, and was able to walk through the vineyards. While we waited for the wine tasting session we enjoyed free cheese and crackers and browsed their fun gift shop. Outside as like a family cookout with food,... More

My husband and I visited on our honeymoon and we had the best time. The wines are amazing and the Firefly Distillery has wonderful moonshine and liquor. I love the outhouse style restrooms and the overall southern hospitality we were shown. We took home quite a few bottles to enjoy. Definitely reccomend!

My wife and I visited the vineyard and distillery today. I have to say these people are the true definition of southern hospitality. We throughly enjoyed ourselves. I have to add the restrooms were a plus. Loved it. If you like friendly atmosphere with wine this is for you!

This is a fun day trip for those looking for a diversion a bit different than the beaches and the historic tours in Charleston. It is also a fun “staycation” field trip for locals. The wines are truly the best muscadine wines I’ve ever tasted. They are not overzealous in their sweetness as is predominant in most muscadines and the... More

For $11 you get a total of 11 tastes of wine and whiskey/moonshine and you get to keep the shot glass and wine glass which made great souvenirs! Great first trip to a vineyard. They had live music there as well!!

This was only my second wine tasting ever. Wanda was exceptional, friendly and expert as she displayed the different wines for us to taste. Just across the yard was the highlight of the tour. We were able to taste Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka (which I am a fan of lol) along with rum, liquor, and moonshine! Worth the drive for... More

This vineyard is relatively new, but they use historical to South Carolina grapes, the Muscadine. The wines seemed on the sweet side to me, but their various varieties did have a range of sweetness. The tasting ($5 each) is low key, with no pressure selling, and is in the wine storage area. The location is great for a picnic lunch or... More

$5 gets you a sample of each of their wines and juices (and you can have seconds if you wish). It also comes with complimentary wine glasses. None of the wine was bad and two were very good. We bought a bottle of Magnolia and both types of juice they have. The lady who gave us our samples was very... More
