The Irvin House Vineyards (along with the Firefly distillery) made for an excellent and fun stop on our tour of the Charleston area. My wife and I were looking to escape the usual tourist traps in town and opted to head out on a little day trip. As a tiny disclaimer, neither my wife nor I are wine snobs. We... More

Irving House Vineyards and the attached Firefly Distillery was a great place to spend an afternoon. The scenery is beautiful, the wine is also great. For the admission price you get to sample 5 of their wines, watch a short video on how it is made, and keep the glass as a souvenir. The wines were just to my tasting,... More

This was a perfect rainy day activity. We went to the distillery and had a tasting, Wanda made it so fun. She was full of information and very friendly. My husband and I bought a few bottles of the moonshine and the vodka, loved the lemonade vodka and cherry moonshine! We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and the group... More

Great people and great wine. They grow the Muscadine grape, which is different than I'm used to. And it is delicious. There is a small tasting fee but you get 5 nice samples and the glass!

We did this absinthe distillery, angel oak tree and the tea plantation in a relaxed afternoon. Recommend doing it all and the wine tasting is $5 with glass and the distillery, which is even more fun, is only $6 with shot glass.

On family vacation and planned on stopping here for the wife and daughter who like sweeter wines. Rustic but nice facilities it is a bit of a drive to get to. We all enjoyed the tastings and I who usually only like dry wines found one that I liked. The wines are made from the muscadine and noble grapes which... More

We ended up here about an hour prior to closing as a diversion when one of my kids fell asleep in the car on the way out to the Bi-Lo from Kiawah (thinking one of us would jump out and do the tasting -- gotta get in "me" time while you can). Our napper promptly woke up when we arrived... More

Serving as the only vineyard in Charleston, this location does not disappoint. The grounds are beautiful no matter the season, wine tastings are cheap, and bottle prices are reasonable. There are farm animals on the grounds adding to the land's character, and the distillery next door always stays busy.

Enjoyed visiting the vineyard however I was not crazy about the wine! I have specific wines I like Argentinian Malbec and Italian Pino Grigio. The wine tasting was a nice experience, staff courteous and professional. Vineyard is located on rural Wadamalaw Island.

A waitress at a local restaurant recommended that we visit Irvin House Vineyards and it was a great idea! For $5, you get to taste all of their wine and you get to keep one of their wine glasses. They have a great gift shop for you or anyone you know that loves wine. The Firefly Distillery is right next... More
