This vineyard is relatively new, but they use historical to South Carolina grapes, the Muscadine. The wines seemed on the sweet side to me, but their various varieties did have a range of sweetness. The tasting ($5 each) is low key, with no pressure selling, and is in the wine storage area. The location is great for a picnic lunch or... More

$5 gets you a sample of each of their wines and juices (and you can have seconds if you wish). It also comes with complimentary wine glasses. None of the wine was bad and two were very good. We bought a bottle of Magnolia and both types of juice they have. The lady who gave us our samples was very... More

We initially planned to visit the Firefly Distillery but when we discovered that the vineyard is right beside it we thought we might as well give it a go. I was a bit worried when I found out that it was muscadine grapes they used (as normally this means a sweet wine) but none of the wines we tasted were... More

Great side trip. The tasting is only $5 and you keep the shot glass. The server was humorous and we had a great experience. Apparently it gets busy on weekends so arrive early.

We had finished the distillery tasting and strolled across the courtyard to try the wines. The plan is for you to wait in the gift shop for your turn. The gift shop was full of people trying to show and waiting.....and I mean full..........like shoulder to shouldner can't turn around without bumping someone full. Out tasting started about 5 min.... The wine tasting was handled very well and the flavors were great. It would have been really wonderful if they could have had some food available in the area between the winery and distillery. Perhaps some cheese, sausages and crackers or artisan breads for sale. We had a good time but were glad we had brought a picnic lunch

I wish we had just walked away from the Tasting experience and not given them our money. They were fitting us in between groups. It was rushed. I felt ripped off completely. There is a video that they show in the Tasting Room, they skipped that part because we were being squeezed in between groups. They did not have a... More

We picked up a brochure for this place at our hotel and seemed to be in area of Angel Oak Tree so decided to visit. The signage to the winery is not very good and we missed the turnoff but realized it soon and finally found the place. The vineyards were nice on the drive in and were able to... More

See my review of Firefly as these are located at the same place - just two different buildings. Worth the trip.

Being the only true vineyard in the area we were drawn to this location. With the opportunity to stroll the grounds, learn of the wine making, and sample what is produced here it made for a nice visit. We are not fans of wines produced from Muscadine grapes usually and hoped this variety would prove differently. But, that is just... More
