We are locals, and this is the only beach we go to. Is very safe, and has easy access to restrooms. If you prefer a lifeguard beach, that area is north of the pier, south of the pier is unguarded. Is the best place on this section of the Strand to get a variety of the local shells. Dont miss... More

Have really enjoyed coming to Mrytle Beach, the weather was perfect, the beach was great. My family absolutely enjoyed our stay at the campground. Loved everything except the pier in Surfside the people in the store were extremely nice, but if you go fishing when the so called king fishermen are there, you might as well pack up and leave.... Clean beaches, reasonable easy access with plenty to do. If you are staying for a week, purchase the 7 day pass, especially if you are traveling with others. At $5 per head admission, the pass will easily pay for itself on multiple visits.

Nice walking trails, easy for kiddos to handle. The walking trails end up at the beach. Driving trails also end at the beach. Picnic areas, camping, etc. $5 admission/adult--fees are not posted at the entrance.

This is the best place for swimming, picnicing, fishing, hiking nature trails, or just beachcombing. They have bathrooms and great parking very near the ocean. I recommend it for everybody because of the changing rooms, and bathrooms and a clean beach. They also have a gift shop and with your paid park admission, you can walk out on the fishing... More

As a local, I stop by Myrtle Beach State Park quite often. It is close to The Market Commons. It has a beautiful pier for fishing, a campground area, picnic pavilions for those reunions and THE BEACH. If you are looking for a place where you can walk on the beach, take a hike in nature in the woods, have... More
