Nice, quiet, and pleasant couple hours spent in the afternoon. Any to find, updated facilities made this a pleasure close to downtown Spartanburg.

Visited the garden today and had fun just watching the kids run up and down the trails getting all their energy out. Beautiful place nestled right in Spartanburg. I would highly recommend for a free fun activity.

This is a lovely woodland preserve that is well-maintained and worth visiting. It is comprised of several small gardens within one preserve, each with its own theme. Hatcher is especially well-suited for families with young children, due to its compact size, easy walking trails, and fun metal sculptures and/or figures for children. Admission is free and there are bathrooms on... More

This a a lovely and well tended Preserve! The area is entered off of a busy street but after a few steps you no longer hear the city sounds. If you need a break from cars, noise and stress this is a most accessible respite! Beautiful trees, flowers, birds and ponds await.

charming little stroll with creeks and waterfalls. The grounds are well kept and pretty. Not hard to find and easy parking. Lots of benches to stop and enjoy the view.

Lovely place built by an extraordinary man. I'm so glad his legacy will live on. It is wonderful to stroll through the garden. There is always something new to see. I love learning about the native plants.

Amazing plant and animal life tucked away for privacy close to town. Great place to hang out, enjoy nature and walk and take pictures with your best friend or grandchild. Tell 'em the names of the trees like mom told you and you've got signs if you didn't have that privilege. Quiet, serene, tranquil...Enjoy!

This is a wonderful garden that was started by an individual. It's probably quadruple the space it started out as, and the community supports it as well. I have taken guests there, and we all enjoyed the beautiful work that has been done in this special space.

Wonderful place to take a walk and get grand ideas for landscaping. Especially helpful if you go to one of the large plant sales they have a couple of times a year and staffed by people who know plants. The paths are in great shape for anybody who might be challenged on rough terrain. Plenty of places throughout to sit.... More
