I enjoyed the family reunion picnic, the walk we took around the park, the visitor center, kids park, and watching the lake/river.

We visited Santee State Park today. I rented a Kayak and my wife had her own. We are both new at kayaking. My wife fishes local ponds and uses hers there and this was my first time. The rental was easy and simple. It cost $25. What made this experience worth writing about was the lady helping with the kayak... More

Have camped here several times over the past year and a half. Sires are large so you don't feel like you are in a parking lot. Plenty to do as it is on Lake Marion and has several trails and things to see. I'd recommend it to anyone camping or just for a day visit.

Enjoyed walking through park and conversing with locals. Park is very family friendly and pet friendly too. Facility has wonderful walking paths and great opportunities for fishing!

We go to Santee all the time, and the state park is the place to be if your wanting to do any fishing, or just get away from humanity for a while. Love it!

If you can visit and not want to know the answer to those trees in the water off in the distance, I'll be surprised! I loved this park, it was small and not too busy, with ample parking. Hiking, swimming, boating, a great little gift shop and snack bar. Loved watching the birds zipping around the pier, and many people... More

We didn't stay very long, but the view of Lake Marion is wonderful and we got some great pictures. Lots to do there and it's a perfect outing for anyone who loves the outdoors. $2.00 per adult to get in (less if you're a SC resident). Well worth it.

We've camped at Santee State Park in our travel trailer multiple times. It's close enough to where we live that it feels we went somewhere but close enough not to actually have to go somewhere to get away. It's a great state park lots to do, lot's of nature and the catfishing is insane at this lake. The grounds are... More

Marion Lake is beautiful and the campground has a view of the lake. The problem is driving to and through the campsites. Both the paved and gravel roads have many deep ruts and holes. Really tough terrain if you don't have a four wheeler. Really bad idea for a motor home.
