Nice Hiking Trails

The park offers camping as well as cabins. We drove through the campsites. They looked nice, but fairly uneven. However the hiking/biking trails are great. Very well maintained.

We've camped at Santee State Park in our travel trailer multiple times. It's close enough to where we live that it feels we went somewhere but close enough not to actually have to go somewhere to get away. It's a great state park lots to do, lot's of nature and the catfishing is insane at this lake. The grounds are... More

Marion Lake is beautiful and the campground has a view of the lake. The problem is driving to and through the campsites. Both the paved and gravel roads have many deep ruts and holes. Really tough terrain if you don't have a four wheeler. Really bad idea for a motor home.

I'll start out with the positive about the place since it was a very nice place to relax. The lake was a great place for the whole family to have a great time. We went fishing, hiking, and played all kinds of board games. Now for the negative. We went camping in our camper and were disappointed to find no... More

Santee state park is a beautiful place to visit. They have clean campgrounds and also rent cabins. A wildlife tour is available. You can also rent kayaks and canoes. It is a great place for a family.

We went to Santee Park for a birthday party. It was a very nice area. You could go kayaking, fishing, and nature trails. There were also cabins. I'd suggest this place to families.

We stayed in cabin 24 for four nights for Memorial Day Weekend 2015. My family also had cabin 22 & 23. If you book cabins here pay attention to cabin size as it varies from cabin to cabin. We had four families with us and children ranging from 18 months to 17 years old. Plenty of room around the Cabins... More

We visited for the first time today. Walked every trail, toured the lake, visited the park store and welcome center then walked the fishing pier and were so pleased we booked a cabin for a week. Just a very pretty park with lots of amenities, playgrounds, fishing pier, cabins, camping the whole deal.

Had a very nice site on Lake Marion and really liked it. You have the ability to fish right at your site. The rest rooms and showers are a little dated, but, still very usable. The laundry room, not so much.

Stopped before we left santee, lake Marion was hugh, and the trees in the middle of the lake was awesome, I've never seen that before, it cost $2.00 a person to get close to the water, but we just wanted to veiw the lake and take a few pics.
