Devils Fork State Park is located at Lake Jocassee. Being on this lake is a spiritual experience. Beautiful blue, clear, deep water. Many waterfalls and mountain views. To maintain this pristine lake, houses are limited. If you're lucky enough to boat this lake, you'll see few houses and breathtaking scenery. The park offers a boat ramp and modern cottages. A... Right on the shores of Lake Jocassee so there are plenty of water sports available. Very nice campsites. Our only complaint was bathrooms were not cleaned frequently enough when camp is crowded.

The lake is beautiful, but the campground is VERY crowded and the sites are right on top of each other. This place is very strict about everything...be warned. All State Parks have a no alcohol policy but I have never seen it enforced like it was here. NO ALCOHOL signs are posted everywhere. We had an RV, put our drinks... More

My girlfriend and I rented a villa for a long weekend. I was a little skeptical because it was a state park. When we arrived, check in was smooth and quick. The ranger station was nice and filled with items that you would need essentially, and some grocery type things. Once we entered the villa, it was absolutely stunning. I... More

Been years since I have visited this park. Forgot how beautiful the lake is. Camping and cabins available. Not overly developed around the lake. I intend to return!

This park is on Lake Jocassee, the first tier of the hydroelectric dam parade in upstate (the other two lakes are Keowee and Hartwell). It has been preserved by Duke Power and the State of South Carolina so there is no development, unlike Hartwell or Keowee. There are about 20 rental cabins which are nice and big, these get filled... Lake Jocassee is the most beautiful lake i have ever been on!!! The campground is nice and well maintained..just be forwarned, due to the incline and the trees, most lakefront sites do not offer a great view of the lake. That's never stopped us from enjoying the natural beauty of this place though!!
