The exhibits I've seen there are good, along with the presentations in the planetarium. Their gift shop is nice and there are occasional events there for the community. Some exhibits have been there for quite a while but for little ones, they are not too bored with the same animals.

This "small town" museum delivers more than one would expect. The African animal exhibit is pretty impressive, as is the science lab. There is presently a special exhibit of Arctic animals. Our grandson liked this place so much that he asked his mom to take him back for his birthday (instead of going to a movie!).

Me and my family went for an outing and ended up here by accident. We really enjoyed it and even better it was free. Interesting and we saw a lot more than expected.

We had a couple of hours to kill before our dinner reservation so we decided to stop in at the Museum of York County - and we're glad we did. The planetarium show about the world of ice was excellent, as was the docent who gave us a tour of the night sky beforehand. Looking forward to seeing other shows.... More

This place has a huge collection of animals that were donated. Cheap way to spend the day with a family; great for school age children from 6 to 14. You need a car as it is not in the city of Rock Hill. If you go; eat at the fish camp on the same road; cheap baskits of local favorites.

The museum is a great place to take your kids for a couple hours of educational wonder. The planetarium has been recently renovated and does great shows. There are several natural history exhibits, including some focused on local natural history. Kids will love the naturalist center, which even though it is kid friendly (lots to touch and see) it is... More

Compact museum. Nice natural and geographic history displays. Full size grizzly bear, giraffe, and African elephant models. Natural history has lots of hands on things to touch, feel and learn about. Plenty of naturalists and volunteers on staff to explain things. Very helpful and encoraging.

The Museum of York County was an excellent museum for both adults and kids. It had an interactive area for kids, a nice assortment of displays and a planetarium show. The price of admission was very reasonable, especially after a AAA discount. Compared to other museums, the museun was just the right size for little ones to walk aroud.
