One of the oldest courses on the Southern Strand, this club offers large greens, and no parallel holes; two characteristics that tend to be absent from many of the modern courses at Myrtle Beach.

Again this is a crazy course, which we played three years ago and again this year. Never again, the deluge of rain didn't help but the greatest collection of waste bunkers seems like a cheap way to not do proper fairways, cart paths and rough. I'm not the greatest golfer but after hitting my 30th shot out of another endless... More

Didn't enjoy myself, as much as I thought I would. The course was not in good shape at all. Lot of the greens had very little grass on them, and that was where they (???) had the pins?? Lady in charge of the rest. part was very friendly, and efficient, as was the bag drop, person.

Founders Club is a must play for anyone who visits the Grand Strand. Located in Pawleys Island, this course will test all of the clubs in the bag. Many of the holes use the waste bunkers as cart paths. The layout is top notch with very good greens, deep bunkers and sand waste areas on the sides of many holes.... More

Course was in excellent shape - t boxes, fairways and greens. Lots of waste bunkers that also serve as cart paths on several holes which is very unusual but frankly I felt it added to the fun of the course.... almost a desert type layout... Played 5 courses in this area in 6 days. Thought Founders had the most unique... More

Terrible Course! Greens mostly sand. No markers or any layout of holes on hole markers or score card as on most courses I play. Do not mind bunkers, but this course 40% caked down sand/dirt that you drive your carts on and comes into play with your shots, which is ridiculous and STUPID, but cheap for upkeep costs vs grass that... Very confusing ways to get around from hole to hole...Only one washroom facility available. No beer carts. Understandably, as the course is really strewn out amongst a large diverse area. Sand and waste bunkers do stop you losing your golf balls. Staff are very friendly, but the course needs a make-over and a better layout.

I had a great time at the Founders club. Staff was great. Driving in the waste areas really neat and smooth as can be. They are working on marking them so that you can get in and out easier. Greens were terrific. They must have improved since this spring. I see some bad things were written earlier this year. .... More

The natural feel on The Founders Club is well suited to the Pawleys market. Waste bunkers, allowing almost no cart paths, extend the added playability and natural setting. The course has more movement than most at the beach and the use of waste sand adds to the native feel. I enjoyed the fact that it meandered around an older Pawleys... More
