Southern plantation golf at its finest: fairways are bordered by ancient cypress and live oak trees; fresh water lakes and marshes dictate much of the play; and historic manors of a by-gone era now cater to returning golfers.

Beautiful and challenging course

Played Heritage today with my wife and what a great experience. Just like Oyster Bay last year, everyone there makes you feel special. Beautiful entrance to the course and clubhouse is special. Fairways and greens were fantastic and in this heat too! My wife and I are not great golfers but we had and excellent experience. When in Pauley's Island,... More

My group of 7 played the Heritage Club on the 1st day of a 5 day trip to Myrtle Beach. The week earlier the entire 5 days were supposed to be in the 60s, but on that morning at 10 AM the temp. was 42* and the wind was blowing at 25-30 mph. Not the best conditions, especially for a... More

My son (9 handicap) and I (15 handicap) played our second 18 of the day at Heritage Club. The course was beautiful and in really good shape. It was a little crowded so we spent more time waiting than we would have liked. We played from the blue tees and there were a few holes that stretched my length a... More

Very nice course, great conditions. Greens were very nice. "All inclusive" included breakfast, lunch and 2 beers but not range balls. Only problem was the pace of play was painfully slow. They send groups off both sides every 8 minutes. Results in a packed course with lots of backups. Enjoyed the course, but probably would not go back because of... More

Our t-time was delayed an hour due to heavy rain. The sent us out and we played 3 holes when the LIGHTING horn sounded. We asked for a raincheck and the proshop responded with their policy. "If you played at least 1 hole you were only entitled to a 9 hole raincheck! I'm pretty sure they could see the storm... More

We loved this course and clubhouse. There was a wedding reception there and it was beautiful!!! Unfortunately, we were all bothered by noseeum bugs and I had an allergic reaction to them. This is only our second visit to SC and I wasn't bothered by bugs our first trip. An easy solution will be to wear bug spray next time.... More

Pretty course, not too challenging. Club house was above average, but needed some TLC on the exterior, particularly on the back of the building towards the course. Food well above average. Good bar with quality choices.

Great course. Tough to find a beverage cart. But great bar staff and the course was challenging and the Rangers were helpful.

The course is very challenging, however, a variety of tee boxes allows players of good to better than average golfers a chance to experience a tour level course. Layout is tough the first time you play, ball positioning is key to scoring well. But without a doubt a hidden gem in the Pawley Island area. On 18, be mindful of... More

It'd been 21 years since I was last here. In 1993 I had not much golf experience so I had no guidelines. Since I have played Augusta Natl, Pine Valley, St Andrews, Carnoustie and others. Heritage club is a golf wannabe. Greens are ridiculous. One or two like that is plenty, 18 is just awful. Plus they RUIN the course... More
