I have been golfing in Myrtle Beach every year for 14 years and Pawley's plantation is one of my favorite tracs. There are a couple of holes on the back nine that are unforgettable. #13 plays from a narrow causeway and 145 yards from the back tees, and under 70 from the white, over water. Short, intimidating and unforgettable.#17 plays... More

It is one of our favorite course. Unfortunate, mother nature took over. We have several attempts to play this course and in the past, we got rained out. We managed to play 18 holes. It is a very challenging course. If you are a beginner, I would not start here. One drawback here is no beverage person on the course.... More

Interesting layout. Par 3 13th and 17th holes are amazing when you tee off from a dike/cart bridge build across the salt marsh. A couple of holes with the signature Nicklaus tree in the middle of the fairway. Still trying to figure out where to hit the drive on #9 since the tree covers almost the entire fairway. Unfortunately, conditions... More

Should be on anyone's list of courses to play if in Mytle Beach for a few days. Well kept. Consistent greens in terms of pace. Some great par 3's especially. Best to to lace from longer tees for a real challenge

Service in the pro shop was very poor. On of our players had been taken into hospital the day before we played. Pro shop would not offer a rain check. We played at other courses and they all provided a rain check, as he was in for several days

Pawleys G.C. is a typical through the pine tree layout with excellent holes, good bunkers, and quick greens. Then you get to swamp holes. Island greens, man made tee areas in the swamp, forced carries over the swamp, a double green that is 8o yds. long connected by a narrow green ht. mowed passage and tees that stretch the holes... This golf course is well worth the green fees but be prepared for a real test on several of the holes ... especially the par 3's. Number 13 and 17 are two of the most unusual par 3's you will see anywhere. Guess wrong on the wind velocity and direction and you will be in the marsh with the fishes,... More

Unbelievable vistas. Challenging par threes. Guess the price it low since it is a long trek down south....but worth it. Only negative is that there was a group of members (at least 16) who pulled up and while we were teeing off proceeded to laugh and talk as if we were not there.....the starter gave them a "look" but never...
