This is one of those beaches that is great to swim, but the wife and I find it even better to walk. Flat and open at both high and low tides, it is especially nice to walk the South end of the beach where you can make the turn around to the marsh side for a totally different experience. Great... The beach is nice. You also get the hotel people walking. Ther are a few places where you can go and sit and have something to eat.

Beautiful, wide, clean beach. Great place to take a family trip. Lots of shells at low tide. We went during spring break, so it wasn't crowded. Fantastic beach!

Plenty of parking, variety of activities. Litchfield is fine but pricey food and no facilities. Be sure to bring a cover up for your bathing suit. A modest, upscale beach crowd.

Lovely wide beaches. Unfortunately, the dunes are eroding. Spring break was a perfect time to visit. Only a few families having fun on the beach. Would love to return in the summer!

Pretty much what we have in New Jersey. Nice beach, clean but no facilities and the direction markers to get to the public beach access is minute. It's like the locals don't want you to walk between their houses to get to the beach so they discourage you with miniscule signs and minimum parking.

Beautiful, expansive, uncrowded beach. Wonderful place to walk, sit, or play. Nice contrast to the craziness of the Myrtle Beach area.

Such a beautiful beach! We enjoyed our relaxing evening stroll with almost no one around even during a spring break.

Loved our short stay at Litchfield. It was April, so it wasn't beach swim weather, but it was certainly perfect for beach walking! Great wide expanses of beach to explore with lots of shells and shore bird activity. The campground is spacious and well appointed with a nice parking pad, picnic table, camp fire ring and SPACE between slots. The... More
